I'm not sure what I'm saying. I use a standard 2 gallon plastic gas can with a half-inch plastic tube and a funnel to fill mine up at home. Other than that, I haven't attempted to fill them. When I'm on a motorcycle trip and the distance is unknown, or when the distance is known and I only need an extra gallon or less to finish the trip, I use them as emergency fuel. This is one of five that I own. The inside of the neck is 1 inch in diameter, but it is threaded so that the black cap can be screwed on. The cap also comes with a gasket. If you stuck anything down the throat that was close to 1 inch in diameter and hard (like a gas pump nozzle), you'd be very likely to damage the threads or the ledge that the gasket sits on and forms the seal, according to my experience. Please note that you should not overfill the marked lines; the liquid must have room to expand due to heat.

For a trip through Morocco, it was ideal. I attached it to the luggage rack of the motorcycle I was riding across the Sahara with the help of a carabiner. The bottle and plastic lid held up well despite all of the bouncing and banging, as well as a couple of minor crashes. Although the bottle was dented, my main concern was that the plastic on the lid would break off and I would lose it.
No fumes. The fuel capacity of the bottle is just over 1 liter. I filled it with Denatured Alcohol, shook it, turned it upside down, shook it again, and left it upside down for a while. There were no leaks. Uses what appears to be a standard rubber o-ring. a ring used to close the bottle If necessary, I believe it could be easily replaced. This isn't a leaky container. After sealing it up, the Denatured Alcohol's rather stinky fumes were no longer detectable. To me, it appears to be a good idea.
After my rat bobber (motorcycle) ran out of gas half a mile from a closed-off gas station, I got this as a knee-jerk reaction. that- time-of- Gas station open late at night br>br>This thing can hold a lot of fuel. It, on the other hand, does not take well to fuel. Although the throat is wide enough to fill from a gas station fuel pump, the volume is so small that you'll spill it all over the bottle before the cutoff. Except for the square base coat of white under the barcode and the orange on the rest of the bottle, all the paint on the bottle wipes off when you put gas in it. You're now at a gas station, filling up what appears to be a water bottle with gasoline, which is almost certainly illegal. br>br>However, when I ran out of gas again two weeks later, the container had not leaked and saved me.
For what I needed, this is the perfect size and fuel capacity. It's a good fit, and I'm still fueled thanks to the old pack.
He loved it even though it was a gift.
for the price, this is a nice bottle.
It's fantastic, and it's exactly what I was looking for.
