While on vacation last month, I bought several nylon backpacks on Amazon to determine which size or brand I liked best. Some will need to My favorite bag is the purple 22L Outlander backpack in which I carry a purse most days of the week. Since I am five and a half feet and short-waisted, standard backpacks all seem to be too long. An excellent length and a comfortable fit make this one a good choice. A stainless steel water bottle or sunglasses fit easily in the side pockets, along with a 12oz or 16oz stainless steel bottle. A two-week test proved to be a success for this pack We traveled by bus and train during a week-long trip to Europe last month as my purse and daypack. I can see that everything is quite well - The zips on this bag are perfectly functional and there are no fraying seams on it. My bag contained all the items I usually keep in a purse, as well as an extra shirt, socks, snack bar, pill organizer, and room for souvenirs as well. In spite of the fact that I weighed it down quite a bit, the straps were surprisingly My other brand of similar backpacks were not as comfortable on me, and one of them had irritatingly loud fabric (I think it I thought Outlander (22L purple) and Hexin (33L purple) were manufactured by the same company because they both seemed to fit similarly and had the same print and pattern on the fabric as well. My diaper bag was getting heavy, so I wanted a lightweight backpack to replace it. We are outing with a four and one year old, which means we need something portable and transportable. In order to compare three backpacks, I picked these up from Amazon There is this one (New Outlander 20L), a Gonex ultralight 25L, and a Neatpack 20L. Among the three, the fabric of the New Outlander was thinnest/flimsiest, thus placing it last. Among the top two products was the Gonex. The Gonex had a couple features that I did not like, but was similar to the Neatpack in terms of thickness and durability. This was evident from the fact that the bottom of the pack had no reinforcement. Secondly, the shoulder straps were noisy due to the ripstop fabric. For my own personal preference, I went with It was pleasant to feel the fabric (more) substantial, to see that there was a double layer of fabric on the bottom, and to see that the straps and back of the backpack were padded with thin mesh, which made it quite Upon returning the Outlander, I chose not to keep it. My impression of this product isn't as positive as my impression of the others, so I'm not sure how durable it is.
