The size of the pack that would be the best for me is listed below. My height is 5'6" and my weight is 155 pounds. With a waist of 33" and a length of 18 1/2" from vertebra 7 to iliac crest, what do I measure?

A smaller version might be better for you. The height of my head is 5' 8" This can accommodate waist sizes up to 49". I am 5'9" and weigh 150 lbs, so I bought the smaller size. Between sizes, the main difference is how long your lap belt is and where the mid-section of your belt goes There are sections.

There are two separate listings, but it's not clear whether this is the Talon 22. Thanks so much?

You are right, the Talon 22 is the one you see. It was 22L for the L/XL that I bought

I did not like it as much as most of the reviews said. If you aren't an octopus, you'll have a difficult time getting your drink bottles in and out of the kayak. An irritating feature of straps is their tightness. This is a small run. Keeping fishing poles in the holder is a pain and it I wouldn't carry this on a long hike. It would probably be better suited to flatlanders. The traverse 32 from REI has been perfect for my needs since I returned it. More room and ease of use for the same amount of money. This pack has so many more options, is much more comfortable and supportive, much lighter, can hold more gear in a sensible manner, and is On the fly we can get drinks in and out easily. New Hampshire's white mountains call for a backpack made for scaling them.

There is no better day hike pack than this

There is something so chic about these backpacks! Now I've given six of these away to my nieces, nephews, and friends of the family as graduation gifts. It would be great if my wife picked up on my fascination with these and hooked me up with one at some point. The Osprey packs are the best backpacks by a mile. I have three other packs from name brand companies, but these are the best designed and constructed packs out there.

You should buy the large/xlarge version if you need 22 litres

The pack is excellent and the company is great. The only complaint I have is that both the small/medium and large/extra large don't have any pockets A Talon 22 large is referred to as a Despite its name, the SM/Med pack does not hold 22 liters of fluid. In order to get the larger pack described by the naming, you must purchase the larger pack.

This fits big and small guys alike

I am 6' and 280 pounds and this is a great fit for me. A great job has been done with the adjustments. The last time I wore this was in Washington DC.
