Questions & Answers

Although the title reads "3," the description reads "2." What size is the one being sold here?

The product is available in two widths: 2" and 3". If you look at the picture of the product you're ordering, you should be able to find the width you need. It's a wonderful item.

3''x2'' is written on the title. How long is it if it's 5 yards and the size options say 3''x5yards?

It's 2. The length is approximately 5 yards. When you apply the elasticon, you must stretch it, so it is stretched 5 yards.

Standard White Medial Tape is no longer an option
5/5

Our horse's vet used this tape to bandage her leg when she was injured, but I keep it in the house for whenever we need to bandage any injuries on ourselves or our dogs because the adhesion is so much better than standard medical tape. It's like comparing scotch tape to duct tape when it comes to the adhesion of this product vs. standard medical tape. The horses and dogs chewed on the tape, but they were unable to remove it or disturb the bandages underneath, which kept the wounds clean and protected.

It's all good
4/5

Wrap a horse's hoof with this material. It's quite effective. It stands the test of time. It's simple to wear and take off. Even so, this isn't cheap! I only used one layer and wrapped it in duct tape after that. To keep the horse's hoof clean, this combination worked well inside a Scoot boot. While she recovered from a deep white line break/abcess, she kept her hair partly dry.

Great product, by far the best I've ever used
5/5

Great product, by far the best I've ever used. You can leave it on for as long as you want; it really does stay on. Most people leave it on for four days. My skin begins to break out if I go any longer. I wear it in the shower and it stays put. It works best if you clean your skin with rubbing alcohol before applying it, and shave as well if your skin is hairy. I mostly use it on my shoulder, but I also use it on my biceps, neck, back, and calf muscles. I can't say enough good things about this product; it's a ten-fold improvement over KT- ELASTIKON TAPES CAN BE CUT TO FIT YOUR NEEDS AND COME IN DIFFERENT WIDTHS. I buy the 4" and 2" by the box and use them.

There's a catch here
4/5

I found this to be extremely difficult to work with until I saw a video showing how to properly use it on a horse's leg wrap. That is why I decided to purchase it. The key is to have someone hold the end of the roll while you unwrap it and then reroll it. It's a lot easier to handle and less sticky as a result of this. Otherwise, it'll be far too sticky and difficult/painful to get rid of.

This isn't the genuine article
3/5

Elasticon is something I buy on a regular basis. This is a lower-quality product, with a different color, thickness, and stickiness. It doesn't stay on as well as the other elasticon I've purchased in the past. I was completely let down.

Flexible in its approach
5/5

I've been using it a lot on my horse's leg after a snake bite caused necrosis to the wound. It’t 100% waterproof in heavy rain and’t 100% had to change daily and on dry days it will stay put pretty well . I only wish it were a little less expensive.

It's not sticky at all
3/5

Elastikon has been my go-to bandage for horse legs for years. Unfortunately, this version is inadequate - It's not as sticky as some of the other brands I've tried. It has a nice stretch, a nice feel, and seemed to stretch further than other rolls of similar lengths, but it's useless to me because it's not sticky enough to stay in place.

My veterinarian suggested this product, and I'm glad I did
5/5

However, it is difficult to return. I no longer require it. I've never opened it, so I'm not sure what the issue is.
