This business is a farce! Their split ring pliers were on my wish list, so I ordered a pair. They sent me a fish scale in the mail. I kept the scale and ordered the pliers again because it seemed like a nice scale. My second box arrived today, this time containing a fish scale. So, because Kraken Bass can't tell the difference between a pair of pliers and a fish scale, I have a few options. The second fish scale is up to me whether I keep it or return it. I already own a fish scale that I didn't purchase. So, why did I end up with two fish scales that I didn't order? Now, due to Kraken Bass's incompetence, I'll have to Redbox the fish scale and then spend the day calling UPS to have it delivered because an adult must be present at the time of delivery. At all costs, stay away from Kraken Bass products!.
I've had them for three months and am extremely pleased with my purchase. They're a good tool that's not too difficult to use. These fishing pliars serve as a replacement for a number of different tools. I wear it on my belt so it's always close at hand. The clevis attached to the pliars also prevents me from dropping it into the water. I've tried a few other brands, but they've all fallen short, so I highly recommend these fishing pliars to anyone who enjoys fishing with fewer tools.
Fishermen who have tried a variety of fishing pliers know that the Kraken Bass Fishing Pliers are one of the best. My favorite feature is the lanyard. br>br>After losing a $100-plus item, I'm grateful for the lanyard. From the depths of the lake to the depths of the dollar Leatherman, I appreciate being able to tie it to my pants' belt loop. The sheath isn't necessary for me, but the coiling plastic lanyard's length is ideal for keeping the pliers in my pants pockets while allowing me to unhook fish and handle lures. I'll never have to be concerned about misplacing these pliers again. br>br>The materials are high-quality, and the pliers are comfortable to hold. My fishing buddies and I have gone through a couple of pairs of pliers because they rust or corrode, but since these are aluminum, I don't have to worry about that. br>br>The plier action is smooth and feels good. I like that I can lock the plier heads with the same hand that I'm holding them with. This is made simple by reaching lock on the action's side. Because the plier heads have dedicated cutting pincers, cutting your fishing line is simple and easier than with regular pliers. It's easy to grasp and cut the line because of their location. br>br>All-around good pliers. Thank you for a great product, Kraken Bass!.
For under $30, these are pretty much the best pliers you can get. The sheath that comes with it is my only issue with it. When you try to put the pliers back in the sheath, they get stuck and don't fully seat in the sheath for some reason. To make it easier to get in and out, I ended up cutting away pieces of the sheath. The pliers are otherwise excellent, with cutters that can cut braided line from 5 lb to 50 lb. 60lb. There are no problems cutting mono/flourocarbon lines. Many other features that I don't use but would like to have include ring splitters, crimping, and a variety of others. The only thing that concerns me is the length of time. I've had them for over a month and have fished nearly 15 of the 31 days that I've had them. I'll get back to you once I've used it some more.
It's the ideal size, and it does everything quickly and effectively. Finally! Someone created a high-quality all-in-one that is optimized for speed of use. I've used so many different pliers and nippers while fishing that having to keep track of three different tools is a pain. The other all-in-ones were either super easy to lose, drop, or access, or you had to open them like a Swiss Army knife. I dropped a pair to the bottom of a lake last week and spent 30 minutes trying to fish them out. If I have butter fingers, I can quickly pull it out of the sheath, and the spring lanyard will catch it. Then I can quickly clip my line, remove a hook, or open a split ring, and the springs and locks make getting my line back on the water a breeze.
I bought these for fishing, specifically to fish for my standup paddle board, which I learned about from the Kraken Bass, whose blog I follow, and which is a really fun way to fish. Anyway, I've been really impressed with these pliers; they have a lot of small, useful features like the lock, the line cutter, the bungee cord, and the carabiner, and I've used them a lot around my house, haha.
Pliers are a reliable source of information. I have a similar item, but it is smaller, and I wanted something larger. The size is ideal for me, and I'll tell you right away that the braid/line cutter feature is invaluable. It can also be used to replace hooks. My other pliers always stay open, so the lock is a welcome addition. The sheath isn't my cup of tea, but I have a holder in my backpack, so it's not a big deal. It is highly recommended.
I've had a few other pairs of pliers for years, including name brands like Rapala, and these are BY FAR the best I've ever used. br>br>As other reviews have stated, there are a plethora of tools included in this. I also like how they stay propped open until the lock is flipped shut, making them very quick and efficient to use. The braid cutter is razor-sharp and cuts right through the braid. br>br>I also like that these have a built-in leash and caribiner clip, which is something that very few other brands have. You can clip them anywhere inside your boat or to your tackle box on the bank for easy access, and kayak anglers know how important it is to have all of their tools leashed on board!br>br>Highly recommend this product over any others I've tried in the past.
