I'm trying to figure out what size fuel line this will fit. ?

This fuel filter is for the Mercury 40hp 4 stroke. The hose on this one is a little longer. The other one I purchased was for a 25 hp engine. br>If you zoom in on the part where the hose connects to each, you can see the difference.

My older 25hp Mercury has a filter that looks similar to this one, but it doesn't have the threaded rod. What exactly is the purpose of that?

Installing it was a breeze. On a 2006 Bigfoot 60, this part was used. It really works. Installing it was a breeze. The main fuel line may also need to be replaced if it clogs frequently or stalling and hesitation continue.
