I'm mechanically inclined enough to rebuild an engine, but out drives are new to me

I asked a certified mercruiser tech for advice and he advised against it during a bellows job because I couldn't get them in with disassembling the gimbal ring. I wish I would have just used this in the first place lube up the bolts and take your time no issues.
