We used this kit to repair the canvas on our 1996 pop up after mice chewed four holes this winter. We glued the canvas on both sides of the holes and stitched around the two large ones. It was simple to use but required two people to sew.
It worked perfectly on the canvas of our pop-up camper.
A minimum of one 15"x15" piece is included in the kit. It's probably best to buy two kits or find a professional repair shop.
Yes, if you start by practicing in a less difficult location.

Over the winter, a mouse chewed a couple of small holes in the canvas of our camper. I wasn't going to spend $750 on something I didn't need. 00 for a second bunk panel on the opposite side. I was skeptical at first, but I figured, what have I got to lose? Because the adhesive is a little messy to work with, I recommend putting a small amount in a bowl and applying it with a brush. So far, the repair has withstood two camping trips and a few downpours.
This was bought to fix some dry rot in our pop-up camper. The instructions are fairly simple to follow, but there are no illustrations. Videos can be found on YouTube if you are a visual person. I haven't used the needle yet because the glue that came with it was fantastic! After three setups and tear downs, I cut my patches and liberally applied the glue to both surfaces, and they have held up so far. The only drawback for some may be that the glue turned dark orange in some areas. We didn't have any issues, but I'd be more cautious about excess in the future. Overall, this is a fantastic item to have on hand!.
This is an incredible kit. We thought we'd have to sew the tears, but the tear mender and tape worked perfectly! Plus, we have plenty of extras. This kit is required if you own a pop-up camper. I would strongly suggest it! My husband was able to repair all four corners in about two hours using this product.
I didn't use the tool because the instructions for assembling it were confusing, so I just stitched by hand with a standard leather needle, but everything else seems to be working fine.
I'm very happy with how simple it is to use and how much canvas it comes with. My pop-up camper was repaired with it. I like that it came in the package because I did my research and the needle alone was around $15-20, plus it came with another spool of wax thread. It's incredibly simple, effective, and inexpensive.
We probably saved hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars by repairing the canvas on our hybrid camper, which appeared to be ripped. We're dry in the camper once more, thanks to the glue and canvas! It was well worth the money. I'm sure we'll be able to use this large piece of canvas for a long time.
I returned it because I could have purchased all of the pieces separately for a lower price. much.
That didn't work, so I bought this product. Now I have a waterproof patch that actually works, and I didn't have to spend another $200 on a new boat cover. It's been about 6 months since I applied the patch, and it's still holding up well.
