Why not? I'm not sure. It was very effective on my nylon down jacket. I don't think it would work well on a tent with a non-smooth surface, such as nylon.
I'm not sure; I've only worn it on a jacket.
They're ideal for wearing under a raincoat. They are extremely adherent.
If the hole is small enough, you can do so; otherwise, the adhesive side will show and collect debris. You can either put one on each side opposite each other, as I did, or put them on the outside.

br>br>Had a small hole from a flame ember and chose this kit because it had a variety of patch sizes, and I needed a small patch with a diameter of only 5mm. br>br>***Had to use a hairdryer*** to heat a patch, and it was a challenge - as a result of the sticky nature of the situation - Removed the smallest patch from the backing sheet (long fingernails required) and adhered it to my jacket. br>br>After about a half-dozen washes, I took this photo three months ago. Patch is still in place and looking great. Isn't an exact black color match, but it's pretty close and far superior to a hole. br>br>I don't use a dryer, so I can't say how well the glue holds up after drying, but multiple cold washes have worked fine, and there are plenty of patches to go around, so replacement shouldn't be a problem. br>br>I was given several sheets containing a large number of different sized patches to cover a variety of rips. It's a good deal and has so far performed admirably. Highly recommended (make sure to heat the glue/patch with a hairdryer, as this seems to improve adhesion).
They're my go-to for repairing "leaks" in puffy, down-filled items that are still good for a few years but have a tiny hole that appears out of nowhere and renders the item unusable if it's not leaking down like crazy. So this is nothing short of a miracle! br>br> br>I have a couple of high-end Parkas that have been rescued. Over the years, I've worn a lot of kids' jackets, as well as gloves and gardening pants, and I've found that if you choose your color carefully and place it neatly, it blends in perfectly. br>br>With a black patch on a black down jacket and such, it's hard to tell. BR>BR>IT WORKS! BR>BR>IT WORKS! BR>BR>IT WORKS! br>Fantastically seals any holes of the right size. Don't skimp on size; leave enough space around the hole for the patch to cover it. There will be plenty of grip and coverage if the patch is much larger than the hole. I always try to make a patch that is a half-inch larger in all directions than the hole. br>You can also sandwich the hole on both sides if you have access to both sides of the fabric. It is not always possible or necessary, but if it is, it should be done. Yes, that's correct. br>br>APPLICATION IS SUPER EASY! br>All I wanted to do was stick it on. It does not come off. However, for peace of mind, I always apply heat to it so that the glue fuses better with the fabric and provides better grip. My preferred tool is a hair dryer. Of course, you can work out with iron. I simply prefer dryer because it is more precise and less clumsy. I turn the dryer on high and blow very close to the patch, and as I go in the fast tiger move, I frequently press the dryer's edge over the patch: So, in a sense, I iron with the dryer. I make sure the patch gets really hot and stays that way by blowing on it for a while and then letting it cool before washing or using it, which takes only a few minutes. IT STAYS ON FOREVER! br>br> It's time to wash, dry, and put on your clothes. However, it is possible to remove it if desired. br>After a year of wearing the item, I changed my mind about the color of the patch and tried to remove it. It takes a lot of strength to get rid of it, but I was able to do so. It was comforting to know that I could remove it if I needed to. I always recommend that you test new products in a place and on something that you can afford to test. Put on an old piece of clothing, let it dry, and then try to remove it. Then you'll be able to see how it affects you. Overall: br>br> OVER THE YEARS, I'VE BEEN SUPER HAPPY WITH THOSE PATCHES!.
I bought these last spring after my old down sweater began to show small holes after six months of daily wear. For the past 8 years, I've been working for 7 months at a time. br>br>I was blown away by how easy it was to simply place a small sticker over the hole and "voila" no more leaks. I was still impressed for the first few months of this winter because it appeared that these patches would last, until we got wet, heavy snow for the entire day. I was soaked through and through. That's when I realized the patches weren't going to stay in place. All of the patches have been peeling off since that day, thanks to the additional snow storms and spring rains. The adhesive residue is clinging to the jacket like glue. br>br>As a result, this is not a long-term solution. And my coat is pretty much ruined if I can't get rid of this sticky residue. 😡.
Because my terrier nips at my arms before we go for walks, I have an expensive North Face jacket with a few holes. Because it's black, I went with these. I had no trouble peeling them off, and I didn't have to heat them with a hair dryer as one reviewer suggested. I would buy them again.
The blue is a unique shade that stands out against a navy blue jacket. In addition, the blue patch is bordered on all sides by a white outline, making it stand out rather than blend in. Finally, it's difficult to remove the patches from the set without damaging them or rendering them useless because, instead of peeling off smoothly, they sometimes tear the paper as well. I'm sorry I bought it.
I'm overjoyed that the patches did their job. I was not going to buy the item because of the negative reviews. My down jacket was ripped to shreds. The patches adhered immediately after I ironed them with medium steam heat. The patches did not peel off at the corners, which surprised me. This brings me great joy. I encourage others to use the product because what one puts out into the universe is returned in a positive manner. You will have a negative experience if you have doubt. Very good seller.
Patches made of fabric blend in better than tape rolls made of plastic. On my jacket, I used the REI clear tape. Not a great start. No corners will catch because these patches have already been cut in a lift-resistant rounded shape. They stick just as well as, if not better than, the plastic tape that comes with the repair kit. They have a more attractive appearance and a more pleasant feeling. They aren't available in stores, as far as I know. You can get them right here!.
I bought these to go with my down jacket. I took it camping, and embers fell on it, causing the down to fall out. There are a lot of large stickers, which are easy to cut and stick to. They've been on for a while, and I've been picking at them to "test" them, and they're fantastic!.
