Questions & Answers

Is this something that could be used with a kayak?

It's made to be tucked away in a corner. a hole. It would work if you had a hole in your kayak that was the right size for the cup. It does, however, have a drain hole in the bottom and thus is not watertight.

Is it possible to hold 30 oz in this? Eric?

Yes. The bottom of the cup should be a little smaller because it has a large bottom.

I'm not sure what size drain hose to use because the connection isn't a barb. Thank you very much! ?

The nut's threaded portion is 3/8" in diameter and does not have a barb. A flexable 5/16" (ID) hose, I believe, would work. We didn't need to connect the drain hose to the cup because we weren't using it on a boat. They were purchased to replace the cupholders in our TV room Loveseats.

Is the depth of these truly 3 inches?

It's comparable to the original plastic versions. I didn't take any measurements to determine how deep it was. My 2000 Bayliner has no problems with it.

LEDs went dark right out of the box, but great customer service: LEDs went out on one cup holder within the first 10 minutes, that cup holder went completely dark two hours later, and the second cup holder began to drop one LED light. I have some photos that I can share with you. Is it possible for the seller to forward me new LED inserts? br>br>Once again, another 2 hours of burn- On the second cup holder, only three LEDs remain lit after some time has passed. I'm waiting for a response from the seller. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> the 8th of march The seller will send two replacement units at no cost to you. free. Excellent service to customers.

The Pioneer 500 is a direct fit for this item

They're a little tall, but they'll fit in a Honda Pioneer 500 cupholder with ease. To get them to sit lower and out of the way of my windshield, I may have to dremel a little.

Drilled through fiberglass gunnel, which was vacuumed up, peeled, and became stuck. The most difficult part of the project was cleaning up the fiberglass dust.

I'd like a thicker top lip to hide any imperfections caused by an over-sized hole. But, on the whole, it's fantastic. Nav lights are wired in, and it holes either my coffee tumbler or soda can.
