Questions & Answers

Can this bike rack be attached to the Honda Fit 2015 with the ?

It is possible to determine what bike rack will fit your car using a computer program developed by Bike America. Apparently you can call them or go to your local store to check the make and model of your car on their records or if you go to the store you can ask them to check the data. For $10, I had it installed for me by Amazon. I ordered it on Amazon and it was shipped to me there.

How would this fit a Nissan Altima sedan with a rear spoiler in 2007?

Your vehicle can still be fitted with this even if it has a spoiler on the back.

Do you have a 2015 Mini Cooper S that this fits?

The following list of fit notes from Yakima applies to
Mini Hardtops are available with 3 different Spoilers/ As for the Cooper trim level spoiler, it does not have a pronounced lip and as a result, it's okay. Despite the fact that the Cooper S and John Cooper Works trim levels have a large lip and is not recommended due to the amount of deflection that occurs at the hatch seam, the spoiler on the Cooper S is recommended. With the optional spoiler with wing, the straps have to be routed under the wing, not over it, so the spoiler is OK.

The 2017 Jeep Renegade is compatible with this?

As for the good, it is very robust and it mounts to anything
3/5

A few good things it's very sturdy, and it attaches quickly and easily to the trunk of my 2012 Camry. This rack just came back from a trip of 1400 miles with two bikes on it. As far as stability was concerned, I was never concerned. Having said that, like other reviewers, I found it hard to fit two bikes on the rack. It took me a while to find the right configuration considering I had one road bike and one mountain bike. My problem with the rubber straps that secure the bike in the cradles is that they are uncomfortable. This is difficult to secure, and it's difficult to do with sweaty hands after a ride. I don't believe my wife will be able to do it on her own, which is a bummer since this was intended for her to transport her bike. The bikes were pushed to the far end of the post when driven at highway speeds. As the load is further out, this puts more strain on the rack. It was difficult to totally resolve this issue despite the placement of bungee cords. In my opinion, if you "just" plan to use the rack for short trips, it will probably work fine. However, if you plan to use it for longer trips or with two bikes, you will want to look elsewhere.

I highly recommend this book
4/5

You'll need some extras, so make sure to buy them as well. I am a beginner when it comes to all of this outdoor stuff, so getting and installing a bike rack was one of my biggest concerns. I was able to install the little guy with little to no issues. The first time I installed it, I thought it would take forever, but it was very quick compared to my expectations. I had no problems fitting it to my Jeep Renegade.
The reason I didn't give a 5 star review is because The cons are In my ignorance, I let the fact that I did not read enough reviews cloud my judgment, that I would need to purchase a separate tubetop hitch for this rack just in order to use it. After this second purchase, I had to wait at least three weeks before I could use the product. To make sure you get the tubetop rack when you purchase this gadget, you will need to buy it with the device. Almost everywhere is out of stock, so I wish you luck finding one.

This solution is for the Scion tC (hatchback) of 2012
4/5

My son and I recently purchased a bike, and I wanted to ride it on local trails that we must drive to. My car, a 2012 Scion tC, has a rear lip spoiler and is a hatchback, so I stopped at REI to get a bike rack for it. There was no rack that would fit in my trunk and my options were a roof rack or a trailer mount that attached to the top of my car, but both seemed rather expensive. I searched the internet on my own and found out that this rack had tension straps that would work for my car. In order to replace the top hook, I did need to purchase glass mount hooks separately (because the hooks were not compatible with the hatchback), but this rack has been very helpful. After installing the rack on my car, I spent about an hour and a half fitting the straps to my car, but once they are adjusted, it takes little time to reattach this rack to the car at another time. Buying straps to stop the bike tires and pedals from moving was a good idea wanted to ensure that my car would not be scratched in the transport process and that the bike would not get caught in the As an added bonus, the rack comes with a long strap that wraps around the bike and carry-on to keep air from getting between the lower part of the back and the carry-on. As a result, even though I was nervous about putting a rack on my car, I just got home from the beach after a two-hour trip and had no problems getting there or coming back. It was only when I realized how many straps were involved in securing the bike that I gave it a 4-star review.

The price is cheap, and the product is That's the right way to do it
5/5

In order to transport a couple bikes from the house to the trail, I needed a cheap bike rack to strap onto the back of a commuter car. The item I was looking for had to be inexpensive For 90 dollars, I picked up this thing and am very happy with it. I've used this thing about a dozen times as of the time of writing this. On the first attempt, it took 15 minutes to get the package onto the car. It's a lot of straps and it takes a few minutes to figure out if you haven't had one before. there is another '5 minutes' each time. This unit is heavy duty - it keeps going for a long time. There is a very nice layout to positions the bike on, and it has thick tubing so it doesn't scratch the car. It is held to your car by an additional set of straps on the sides. The thing strapped to the back of my car meant that I had to take a curve at *50mph at one point. Despite my best efforts, it did not move. Overall, I'm very satisfied with what I've been able to accomplish. There's no doubt about it. What's not to love about *$90?.

This is a great bike rack
5/5

My car top has Yakima rails, and I have stand up racks for my bikes that I use when I'm heading long distances. My problem is, I'm finding it harder and harder to get them up there all the time! So I like to do some rides closer to home. I have to drive 15 minutes to get there So, I thought I would try one of these racks, having not been a fan of the strap-on "clam shell" racks in the past. They are too wobbly and unstable, and I hate looking in the mirror to see the bikes flopping around. However, I forgot about that, this one is super nice. I used it today for the first time. After it was adapted to work with my car in regards to the geometry, and I need to read the instructions carefully, it basically snaps on in about two minutes and is extremely The 100 bucks you pay for this thing is a great value and it would probably hold up well on a long trip.

It was hard to find a bike rack that would fit my Fiat 500X, but this rack does it perfectly! I was able to put it on and take it off easily Easily folds back behind the seat when not in use.

It does exactly what I need it to do
4/5

I bought this for my 04 civic so I can use it for short trips and to save gas (usually I use my bit of time to put on, but it is really secure once on. As I drove 75 mph on the freeway to the trails, I tied off the straps and tied off the backpack. I never had an issue with it. It only gets four stars because it takes a while for it to be put I'd say it will take 10 minutes In your opinion, what kind of bike rack do you expect on a trunk mount? The civic was not going to be equipped with a trailer hitch. My needs are met by this. The hitch of my SUV has a Thule bike rack, so I can take the bike along while driving.
