Instead they are both secured with a long bolt (with a large plastic knob) that screws into a nut with a nylon insert. In the car on our way back from vacation, the lower bolt vibrated loose, and the rack tipped down. The bikes started rolling down We did have a limit on how far the force of the fall could go, so only two of our bikes were damaged. The STRONGEST recommendation I can give you is to do something similar if you buy (or own) this rack. The rack itself appears to be undamaged as well, regardless of the abuse we gave it. We used the included straps, and despite all of this abuse, everything stayed firmly attached to it.
We purchased it based on reviews and the appearance and were not inclined to pay $250 or more for it. The Yakima or Thule alternatives cost 300 dollars more. A month in, and we're very happy with the choice. An additional bonus is that the hitch lock, lock, straps, and inch hitch) are all made of solid metal. A few weeks ago, we took two bikes from Virginia to Ohio and they didn't move. Although I agree with the reviewer who complained that there is no quick release to swiftly lower the rack, I was slightly concerned about the assessment that there is no quick release to rapidly lower the rack. that you have to unscrew it, but this process takes only 30 seconds and there is a big plastic knob for doing so (I was sure I would have to use a wrench). That way you can ensure the rack will not wobble because those screws anchor the rack. all, I think the deal is great!.
I broke the plastic strap that locks the bike after only seven days of using it. I am unsure of how to contact the A new update- Thank you for your quick and efficient replacement straps. Excellent customer service.
The first problem is that the straps that hold the pins and bicycles are made of cheap plastic and broke soon after *The receiver is really short so if you have a hide-a-way, that would be really handy It may not work if you hitch it. There is a guarantee that if you do not like it and want to return it, you will have to pay the return shipping and won't get your money back. . It was too late for me to contact customer service, because they said the transaction was completed because I purchased I would recommend you not to buy this rack from this company!.

I think the straps are 25 years old because they broke As I stared in amazement, I could not Once useless, it would remain useless for two minutes. Although it would appear that it would work when the weather is hot, these straps are completely useless when the weather is cold. I like how sturdy and strong this rack is! This rack is easy to fit my 29er bike on. Five minutes were needed to install the software.
I did the research this time after trying another hitch mount that wobbled like crazy with a 2" (2 inch) hitch, and I ended up picking up the TYGER TG-110 instead. A hitch mount for the RK3B101S. Even though I've only taken a few short trips with my bike attached, this mount is so much better than any other. With the input to the hitch receiver fitting perfectly into the 2" (2 inch) hitch, and with the stabilizing bolt, the hitch will not wobble. I love the price point, the quality, and the fact that it will not wobble when attaching a 2" (2 inch) hitch, making it the best bike hitch mount on the market!.
