The bike in front of you is not a bicycle, but It's certainly not something I'd trust.
Rather than using a rack, we use a bar that supports the weight of the bike.

Both locking mechanisms are positive and there are no signs of movement or scratching on my bike. The reflector I moved down the seat post so it wouldn't interfere with the bike. We don't ride at night or on roads so it wasn't an issue for us. While opening the door, I was usually able to open it the first or second time, without any issues pushing down the release button. I cannot imagine why I would want to pay more for a name plate for one of these units that costs about 10 to 15 dollars less than the models sold by Yakima or Thule. A bike bar like this is the one you should choose if you need one. You can't guarantee it will fit a small frame bike, so see what other users have to say in We wish you a safe and enjoyable ride.
It worked fine once I got it up on the bike rack and strapped in once it was strapped in, though I was hesitant about using it on my bike. Like other reviewers mentioned, the fit is loose (understandable since it has to fit a variety of frame sizes). I gave it a lower score is that it's kind of hard to push the buttons all the way down to open the two sides. I hope it will become a little bit easier with use.
It is my first time using a crossbar as I just received it. There is no locking mechanism and the opening and locking features are not perfect. The cross bar is able to slide back and forth but not lock. In other words, the handle bar and the seat are locked in place, but there is still play between them. As a result, if you forget to lock your bike seat or the seat subsequently rattles loose, you are liable to lose your bike, which is why I prefer that the lock is tight and snug rather than allowing for so much flexibility. Those are my reasons for giving this one three stars, I may return it as well. There is no manual included with this product. I didn't know there were cross bars like this. This is the first time I've ever used a cross bar. I just hope there aren't other brands like this.
One of the worst products I have purchased on Amazon! At first, it appears as though the bar is relatively stable. My bike still looked odd in my rearview as I drove half way to my destination. One side of the bracket was unhinged when I stopped to check. In case of theft, I have put a lock on my bike and all my other bikes. Thanks for letting me know! After hitting a minor bump on the interstate, the bike fell from the bike rack a little further down the road. It's only because I used the bike lock that the bike didn't cartwheel down the interstate. Upon inspection, both bracket sides were in a state of disrepair! The entire thing is a waste of money, not to mention potentially dangerous for anyone.
I had no issues with the bike rack for a little while. However, after we arrived home from a ride in May 2019 (purchased in October 2018), the bike was hanging from We had put the bar in the right place, but when we looked closer we realized it was bent at the clasp, and for some reason, our mountain bike was hanging from it.
In comparison to Allen 900b crossbar, this is a breeze to install. There is only one thing I don't like about that limit it is 33 pounds. works great for both my wife's bike and son's and daughters' bikes. The rubber heads protect the bikes nicely and the locking mechanism on the heads makes them easy to open or close. There have been complaints about the length locking mechanism in some reviews for crossbars from other manufacturers. Unlike this one, this one does not have one, but I don't see it as an issue as long as the head remains locked and the bar can support the weight.
Despite the bar's easy and sturdy installation, it has held up well to a cross-bolt It was a long (2300 miles) drive, and I didn't like the fact that the bike was supported only by the seatpost, which was not secured. I used some heavy cable ties to support the bike frame, looped over the bar.
Due to the rubber coating on the ends, it doesn't seem like it will scratch the bicycle. Installing and removing it are quick processes. It appears that there is no tension on the rod and it flops around a lot. Additionally, the connection pieces interfere with my bike rack due to their length.
