It's not waterproof, in my opinion. However, I don't believe I ever considered it. I wear it when I ride my bike. Traditional chamois cream doesn't stay on as well as this one. One of the reasons why I enjoy it is because of this.

That one is no longer available, but I do have one from 2016 that works perfectly. Whatever material they're made of, they appear to retain moisture and lubrication. I've been using them for a long time and have never had an issue.

Saddle sores are a common occurrence in my life. Saddle sores were a problem for me in the past. Not anymore, thanks to BodyGlide's Cycle Glide. br>br>I've tried so many different chamois cream brands that I've lost count. I have a problem because I am a heavy sweater. So much so that chamois creams are rendered ineffective due to the sweat's ability to "wash" them off. Creams wash away when they come into contact with water, so they're useless for a Triathlon. Cycle Glide is able to do so because it is not washed away by water. It adheres to the surface you have placed it on. br>br>Cycle Glide is a balm rather than a cream. In the same way that deodorant is applied. The Cycle Glide sticks to your skin when you rub it on. It is not washed away by sweat or water. It takes soap and water to get rid of the Cycle Glide. Since switching to the Cycle Glide over 6 months ago, I have not experienced any saddle soreness. br>br>Cycle Glide is ideal for Triathletes who need a little extra help transitioning from the swim to the bike; simply apply before putting on your suit and you'll be good to go until you shower. br>br>Cycle Glide is also a great option for cyclists. There will be no more smeared creams on your bibs. The white chamois cream streaks in your bibs irritate no one.
BodyGlide Cycle Chamois Glide Balm is worse than using nothing because you believe you will be protected from chaffing or irritation, which can lead to saddle sores, at least to some extent. I chose to try this product (among many others) because I thought it would be useful for long rides in the middle of the day. reapply for a ride I put it through its paces on a two-hour ride and found it to be completely ineffective. This is a product that I do not recommend.
Yes! This chamois stick for cycling by Body Glide is fantastic. It seems to be gentle on the chamois as well as the skin. The sit bone area of the chamois, near where the torso meets the top of the legs, the inner thigh part of the chamois, and the chamois itself, work well. This stick applies neatly, works well, stays where you want it to be, and washes out of the chamois; it doesn't feel cold or clammy on the body; it simply works quietly. well. Oh, and there won't be any petroleum products! Using this chamois material in combination with regular body glide on the heels and balls of the feet has made life much easier.
I'm going to place another order! This item's lightweight portability is a big plus for me. The stick medium for the no-chafe product is a good choice because it isn't wet and icky, it won't stain your clothes, and it's simple to toss in a bag without risking a mess from heat or compression. The layout is excellent. It works just as well as my wet chamois creme when I ride for two hours at least once a week. Also, I haven't had any clogged pores or anything like that since I started using it, which is why I switched. Overall, a little pricey for the amount of product provided, but it performs exactly as you'd expect/want it to, and in the end, a more comfortable ride/workout/race is a better ride/workout/race. I intend to place another order.
I was using a cream to keep bike-related chafing at bay, but I discovered that it washed or rubbed off about halfway through my rides. I decided to give this stuff a try, and it has a longer shelf life. When I shower after the ride, there's still some left to wash off; it's now a much thicker, stickier substance, so I think it's actually sticking my shorts to me rather than allowing them to slide-- However, as long as nothing irritates my skin, I'm content. I'll keep small packages of cream in my bag just in case, but I've never needed them in the middle of the night. When I use this stuff before I start out, I have a lot of fun. So far, I've only tested it on 30-mile rides; later this year, we'll see how it performs on longer rides.
I ride every day, and this solid is far superior to the cream variety squeezed from a tube or tub (I've tried several brands). I used to despise pulling on my bibs after putting on my other clothes because they were cold and squishy. With this, you don't get any of that. The performance, as well as how long it lasted, astounded me. Finally, I'm not sure if this is a benefit or a drawback, but no one seems to want to use your balm with this type of applicator. for obvious reasons, hopefully.
Possibly not all, but a significant number of them - I've tried a few, but this Body Glide for cycling is the best. I've tried Chamois Butt'r, Assos Chamois cream, and a slew of other products, but the Body Glide for cycling is the best of them all. I don't get as many saddle sores now, and it's simple to apply and carry on a ride if you need to reapply.
On a 5-hour ride this weekend, I put this stuff to the test for that problem, and I was blown away by how well it held up to constant rubbing by a cloth in wet conditions. It has a very clean application. I couldn't tell it was there because I couldn't see it. Compared to chamois creams, this was a huge improvement. This is a fantastic addition to my cycling gear, and it now has a permanent home in my pannier.
