It's a serious tennis shoe with plenty of heft and stiffness. It's not a running shoe or a trainer.
I'd recommend New Balance as a starting point, but since I don't have a wide foot, I'm not sure what else to recommend.

I went from being a lifelong runner to a tennis player after 35 years of running. For tennis, I switched from my beloved Asics to a different brand, and I was pleased with the results. However, I developed plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, and knee pain over the course of about 18 months. Stretches and calf exercises helped me deal with my foot issues. However, because I had such a good experience with the running shoes, I decided to switch back to Asics. In fact, I had tendonitis a few years ago and switched from one Asics model to another, and the issues went away quickly. I'm happy to report that my recent return to Asics, my go-to running shoes, has resulted in a significant improvement in my performance. to brand is working wonders in the same way. I can tell that not only because of the therapy, but also because of the foot problems are much less. And the pain in my knees is fading fast. I'm fairly quick for my age, but the pain and hesitation were slowing me down by a half step. After about a week in the new shoes, I've regained half of my step. I can't express how grateful I am. So, after decades of wearing Asics, I finally feel at ease.
I'm a big fan of pickleball. These shoes made it much easier for me to get to the ball. It's as if your foot is pre-programmed to move, and all you have to do now is think about moving. It's also simple to switch back and forth. I used to always wear sneakers and did well, but when I switched to tennis shoes, my game improved significantly. I also purchased the same shoes in my wife's size.
I was torn between buying this shoe and paying the extra money for the Gel Resolution 7s in the same lime/blue/black colorway. I'm glad I didn't give up on the Gel Challenger 12. My feet are closer to a size 9 than a size 8. I'm wearing a size 25 because I can wear either a size 9 or a size 9. 5s, depending on the brand and style of the item. These size 9s are just right because they have a little extra room - the 9. A size 5 would be far too large. These shoes are broken in and extremely comfortable after three times of wearing and playing in them. Thank you once more!.
That's been the case for a long time. Apart from that, these shoes are fantastic.
The shoes have been in my possession for about a year. When a season is on, I'm a strictly recreational player who plays once or twice a week. The shoes are comfortable and light, with good soles. Rubber where I need it is plentiful and durable. My heels hurt the first couple of times I wore the shoes, so I had to buy a better (shock-absorbing) pair of inners. br>An oddity - I've had trouble tying the shoes tightly, even with the thicker inners. To feel like the shoe is snug and my feet aren't moving side to side inside them, I have to really pull on the laces. As this is my first pair of Asics, I don't have any previous experience with the brand. My go-to option is It's Nike, and the uppers have always been a good fit. If I were you, I'd go to a store and try on the shoes before making a purchase.
This model of shoe is extremely comfortable in my opinion. The insole has enough padding to feel cushioned, and the bottom sole grips indoor court surfaces well. For the price, it's light, comfortable, and sturdy. I play indoor racquetball 2- I've been using it three times a week and am very happy with it so far. Because I'm rough on shoes and don't expect this model to be available when/if I need to replace my current purchase, I'm planning to buy a second pair as a backup.
The gel insole isn't for the faint of heart. It feels as if you're walking on a cushion, and it's gentle on the ankles and knees. The outsoles are of good quality and hold up well when playing pickleball outside on asphalt. br>br>They are also very comfortable, and the white with red trim looks great. At least for me in a size 9, they fit true to size. 5 US. I've washed them several times in the washer and they've held up well. br>br>Recommended.
The shoe has a nice appearance. As expected, the fit was perfect. I'll break them in first before hitting the court, and the toe box is a little tight, but that will go away with time. br>Shoes have good support and don't move much when you twist them in your hand, which I like. So the problem is with the shoe laces. They are 54" laces that are too short, so I have to over-tighten them. Tighten the shoe so you can tie it. br>I just placed an order for 60" laces, which should be sufficient. But is that really the case? Is it true that a size 12 shoe needs to be 54" long?.
