Questions & Answers

What size should I get for my ten-year-old child?

For my 9-year-old daughter, these were perfect. My 11-year-old son, who is a powerful hitter, was still hitting these across a gym. As a result, I suppose you should assess your child.

Do these bats harm the new composite bats for 2018?

I can't think of any reason why they would, but I doubt it. It was used with a standard aluminum (? DICK'S sports has a bat for you. They're great because you don't need a big space to practice, and they don't go very far even when hit hard.

What exactly are these filked balls made of?

A granular substance of some sort. I don't think it's sand, but it's close.

I don't want to ruin my bats because they're expensive. Is it possible to hit these balls with a composite or aluminum bat?

I bought them for my grandsons to practice with because they use aluminum bats and the weighted balls help them hit real baseballs farther. They are incredibly popular!

Great for BP in the backyard
5/5

These practice balls have been a big hit. I'd had to stop tossing in the backyard to my son because we'd gotten to the point where I was having to hop fences after every hit. He hasn't been able to hit one further than 15 feet, and the majority of them die right away, making BP much more efficient. After a few rounds, I can already tell his follow-up strategy. through is a lot more powerful. He must swing through because he still wants to hit them forward. br>br>I'll admit that the old man had a bit of a learning curve before he could throw decent pitches. They're not only heavy, but their weight isn't evenly distributed for a reason. Anyway, a little practice was all that was required, and that has now been accomplished. Overall, I'd recommend it, especially if you're working with limited space and/or don't have anyone to field your calls for you. The company appears to be focused on providing high-quality products and excellent customer service.

For hitting, this is ideal
5/5

I have six of these large balls that I use in my son's training routines. Each one weighs in at 16 oz. For progression training, you can purchase a variety of weighted balls. For my progressive training, I use these three different sized basketballs and regular baseballs, as well as mini golf ball sized plastic balls with thin bats and foam sweet spots. The balls assist the batter in learning to "drive" through the ball rather than simply making contact with it. You must monitor the batter's form to ensure that they swing through the ball, finish high, and maintain a balanced approach. Having said that, the balls have held up to multiple hits and are an excellent addition to any hitter's training regimen.

At long last, a fantastic option! Throwing/training balls for heavyballs that can be used both indoors and out! Unlike other true heavy balls designed for overweight throwing, which are dark in color and have a high impact, these balls are softer and bright red, making them a safe choice for throwing programs
5/5

When I used other heavy balls, it felt like I was literally putting my health on the line. They are usually black in color and have a metal construction with a plastic covering. weight. The Rukket balls are not to be trusted! These will come in handy during the winter, when you're throwing indoors and have less than ideal lighting. br>br>I wish these had been around 5 years ago!.

For any level of player, these are excellent practice balls
5/5

These are fantastic at assisting my son in focusing on the ball and making good swings. To get the weighted ball to travel more than a few feet, he must make solid contact and follow through. It goes when he follows all of the rules. But only a short distance. These are ideal for soft tossing in confined spaces because, even when hit hard, they do not travel far. This is an excellent training aid.

This has been a tremendous help to my little league players
5/5

We purchased these for my husband's little league team that he was coaching, as well as for our own children to use. These can be put to a lot of different uses. These definitely assisted our children in learning to complete their swings while batting. It also helped with arm strength so that you could throw better. Despite the fact that the season is over, we continue to allow our children to play with them. I've even gotten my hands on a few of them, which was a lot of fun. I don't want the adults to be too rough with the kids because it's a fantastic tool for them.

A fantastic tool for training
5/5

The purpose of this purchase was to teach the kids to swing all the way through the ball rather than stopping when they made contact. br>br>We started using these weighted balls during practice and warmups before games. br>br>It was fascinating to watch as they grew in strength as they followed. br>br>If you decide to use these with your younger players, make sure they return the balls to your underhand. br>br>A word of caution: Weighted balls should not be thrown overhand by players who are still working on arm strength and proper throwing mechanics, as the repetitions can cause injury.

It's a great way to warm up your arm
5/5

When a teammate was using smaller sized weighted balls to warm up before slow pitch softball games, I got the idea to use weighted balls as well. I purchased this set so that I could have my own, and I immediately liked the fact that they were larger in size, closer to softball size; I would like to see something a little larger, closer to softball size, to simulate the grip. Overall, when I'm playing from the outfield, my accuracy and velocity have improved. Anyone would benefit from it.
