This was a Christmas present for my son. The 19th of March has arrived. As a single mother, I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to put it together on my own. It took me 10 minutes to put together, the quality is excellent, and it can be dismantled and stored in the included storage bag. It is a hit with my son.
We've only had it for two weeks, and the fabric seam/channel where the pole is inserted has already ripped. To avoid ripping a hole in the fabric, make sure you bend the pole the right way. Our 11-year-old son was with us. and 9- It was put together by a group of 12-year-olds who were not careful not to rip it. However, I was pleasantly surprised that the net did not easily collapse when a ball was hit into it, but that could be due to the fact that we threw softly and used mostly soft foam balls.
Because the instructions were poorly written, my son said the first time assembly was a little difficult. It worked well after being assembled, just as it was supposed to. We'll see how long it lasts and how good the lifetime warranty is as time goes on.
Exceptional product. br>br>I use it at home to practice rock slinging with standard and weighted tennis balls, and it has proven to be an excellent backstop and ball catch when throwing ammunition at full strength/speed, even without the stabilization pegs. br>br>Easy to assemble, long-lasting product that I would highly recommend.
If you have a yard, it will be large enough to accommodate this training net, and your children will be able to practice batting and pitching. When kids are stuck at home all day, this is a great way for them to burn off some energy. It's a big hit with our kids. br>br>It took me a while to figure out how to set this up at first, but once I did, all I had to do was follow the steps in the manual exactly. The important thing to remember is that you must use force to bend the side poles. Don't worry; the poles, which are made up of two shorter pieces each, are extremely flexible and stretch the net taut. br>br>The bottom of the net has velcro to attach it to the stand, as well as four extra U staples to secure it to the grass. The carry bag is large enough to hold all of the components while still leaving room for balls (we have 12), but not for a bat.
It's on par with the most expensive nets on the market. My son loves this practice net; he's been playing travel baseball for a few years and we've never had a need for one because we live near a park with three baseball fields. This is simple to assemble, long-lasting, and a great addition to our backyard patio. My son is currently a 12u baseball player, and he can set up the game whenever he wants.
Pitching, throwing, and batting are all useful skills to have. Hitting off a tee is a great way to improve your batting skills, and having one on hand before a game is a great warmup for the batters. This unit is very portable and easy to assemble and disassemble. Durable and easy to transport.
The net appears to be well-constructed, but the carry bag is inexpensive and useless. It's flimsy, and the zipper gave out on the first day. This is a bummer because the portability of this style was one of the main reasons I chose it. br>br>The network itself appears to be in good working order and was relatively simple to set up. It shouldn't be too difficult for me to set it up on my own. Working with them to repair the bag, on the other hand, has been a rewarding experience. They don't seem to care about fixing their nightmare. The quality of their customer service is appalling.
