For accurate height when used for adult softball batting practice, the tee should be placed in a 5 gallon bucket. To prevent the support tubes from bending 90 degrees on a mis-alignment, a 1" pvc pipe (I use 30" and 24") must be inserted into the tubes. hit. br>The overall quality of the construction is outstanding. It would be five stars if the tee's description mentioned that I had to alter these items for adult use. I had the option of improving it or returning it. It's one of the things I'm glad I saved.
I'm not sure what the material's name is, but it's a solid rubber that can withstand a lot of abuse. When my eldest grandson began T-ball, I bought one three years ago. ball, and one of the posts is still in good condition. T-ball was introduced to my youngest grandson. This year, he has a ball, which he is using. I bought a second one for the oldest to practice hitting both inside and outside. I also downloaded the "5-minute" video. JUGS has a great instructional guide called "Point Hitting Tee Drill Book."
Two tubes are included in this package.

If my grandchildren play baseball, I have to believe I'll get this for them. It's very simple to adjust. It's quite heavy, so hitting the tee shouldn't knock it over. There are several tee positions to practice hitting the ball inside, outside, and down the middle at just about any height you'll need to practice, and there's a scan code for drills, but our instructor tells my daughter what she needs to work on. This could easily be used as a long-lasting team practice tee. br>br> It was well worth the extra cost over the less long-lasting tees.
It's heavy enough that it won't tip over every time you swing the bat at the tee. Two tees are included, as well as multiple slots in which to place them (to simulate inside pitches, outside pitches, and so on). Both sees can be adjusted to simulate high and low pitches. or simply adjust to the height of your ballplayer. It appears to be extremely well constructed and durable. This was an excellent purchase.
This is my second Jugs tee, and I like it a lot. As an example, I own a high-end computer. About 200 days per year, a high school player will hit with it. The base is substantial, and the poles are maneuverable, but they are, in my opinion, too flexible. I had to replace the unit because the poles flexed too much. This could last a long time in the hands of a young player, but we only get about a year out of it. br>br>June 2013 Update: The flexible rubber insert (where the ball is placed) broke after one year. As you can see in the photo, the set comes with two, but with regular use, it won't last much longer than a year.
IT'S MADE OF BOMB-PROOF RUBBER AND IS HEAVY DUTY. NOT JUST ONE, BUT TWO RUBBER POSTS ARE INCLUDED. This is a fantastic device. We finished baseball, and the tee held up well after three months of abuse from 12 kids. The various pitch locations are excellent, and the adjustable height aids in the learning of the strike zone by children. It has a solid rubber construction and is easy to transport thanks to the handle and straps.
My eldest grandson began playing T-ball when he was six years old. This year, he's been playing ball, and it's helped him learn to stand and keep his eyes on the ball. My oldest grandson is in his fourth year of baseball, and I'm helping him learn how to hit both inside and outside pitches. It aids in instilling in him the habit of lowering his head. For the first time in 30 years, I am playing adult baseball. In previous years, I've coached my son and bought cheap batting tees that don't last and don't extend high enough for taller boys (or adults). This tee has a lot of substance to it. I've only used it once, but I'm confident that the tee tubes will last a long time, as they extend very high in the strike zone for me, and I'm 6'0. " It includes a drills instruction manual, which is extremely useful. Cheap tees are a waste of money. This tee is a great deal for the price!.
Exceptionally good. After years of use, it still looks new.
