Questions & Answers
Yes, absolutely! It's extremely durable and has a fantastic rebounding action!
It's not designed for goalie rebounding specifically, but it might work in the third setting. On the third setting, the ball pops into the air, but I believe this is more for practicing catching the ball and settling it. Others are designed specifically for rebounding by goalies. I'd start with those, as I believe they're made by the same company.
My paper one is still with me.
It's fairly rigid in general. You can insert the ties/bands into various holes to make it extremely difficult for a ball to rebound. After being out in the Arizona heat, mine is still in good shape. Used for soccer and for playing catch with oneself by bouncing a tennis ball about 20 feet.

When I went to my local sporting goods store to look at a variety of soccer rebounders, I discovered that the majority of them were poorly constructed and had poor nets. Needless to say, I promptly return each and every one of them. br>br>I discovered this product on Amazon, but there were few reviews, but they were all positive. I took a chance and ordered it after reading the description and seeing Amazon's excellent return policy. br>br> I can't express how happy I am with this product; it was extremely simple to put together, as was the net setup; it took me about 40 minutes in total, with the net taking the majority of that time. br>br> I like that you can adjust this in three different angle positions, which is ideal for different types of passes and volleys. The overall construction is very sturdy and strong, and I'm sure it will hold up to a full striker. br>br> Product comes with a full two-year warranty. The bungees have a one-year warranty and can be replaced here on Amazon or at your local hardware store if they get worn out from the weather. Overall, I am pleased with this product and would recommend it to anyone looking to improve their soccer skills on their own or with a teammate. br>br>Also, it is a little pricey in comparison, but you get what you pay for, and I'm glad I spent the extra money because I know it won't fall apart and be a waste of money like some of the other products on the market. br>br>I hope this review was helpful in making your decision, and I would highly recommend it if you were to buy another baseball rebounder.
While others have complained about how difficult it is to set up because of the net, I found the base to be the most difficult part. One of the bottom brackets was bent, which caused the problem. I had to force the prongs apart in order to properly insert the bottom bar. br>br>Also, because of the alignment, it's difficult to get all the pieces in smoothly. Before inserting the cross bar, I recommend putting the two side bars of the net into the base piece. br>br>Getting the net attached is actually quite simple, and if the metalwork and quality control had been better, I could have finished the setup in a matter of minutes. The 3x3 rebounder isn't the best for soccer in terms of performance.
- It's a small sweet spot. The ball tends to pop up off the lower crossbar when making ground passes into the rebounder while standing completely upright.
- When you want to work on volleying repeatedly, it's very easy to lob a ball over the top of the rebounder by accident.
- The force required to kick the ball into the rebounder is significantly greater than the force required to return it. Depending on what you want to work on, this can be a good thing or a bad thing.
- As the above note suggests, the net tension is extremely high. It was to be expected that there would be a dead zone where the bungees hook the net. The structure is solid. br>br> When I tested it out, I didn't have to use spikes to keep it in place. I anticipate it lasting a long time, and it folds flat easily, which is a plus for me because we require portability. br>br>I would have bought the 5x5 model if I had the means to transport it easily. Because of its larger sweet spot, it is likely to be more forgiving of errors when kicking the ball into the net. This model, on the other hand, fits perfectly in the back of our mid-size vehicle. size SUV. br>br>For younger athletes (U12 and below), I would recommend this size. My son is older, but we'll do our best to work around the limitations. br>br>After some extended use, I'm removing a star. The product doesn't really meet our needs when it comes to honing specific skills. Given the unit's level of decline, it's far too difficult to keep a soccer ball in the air on a consistent basis. When the unit is fully reclined, there's a sweet spot just above the center where you can get some decent elevation with enough force, but a kid has to put it there every time, which can be frustrating if you're training. br>br>I suggested to the manufacturer that a 4x4 size be produced, as it would be more effective and nearly as portable. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> The rebounder we purchased is still standing two years later, despite numerous rainy days and a dingy from a car. I discovered that by slightly leaning it forward (a setup adjustment), it delivers more ground balls. My son now uses it to practice basic skills in order to improve.
I purchased the 7x7 because I was tired of hearing the ball hit my garage door and figured it would suffice. (This is true. ) It appears to be quite durable. The framework is made of heavy metal and is simple to assemble. I found the instructions to be very clear, and the parts are numbered so they can't be put together incorrectly. Elastic bands with a sort of toggle(?) hold the net in place. They got my knuckles a few times, and there may have been some adult language exchanged. I learned how to bring the band to the toggle by hooking it with the net. At that size, assembly is a two-person job, but it's not difficult; we completed it in 15 to 30 minutes. It looks nice, bounces back nicely, and most importantly, I can't hear it.
In comparison to what's available, I should really say affordable. The bungees are excellent and are holding up well, especially considering that we will be leaving this thing outside. We can bring it into our garage for shelter, but it's heavy enough that we don't want to. It's not particularly heavy, but if you're lazy like me or my kids, it'll suffice. Please don't put me in the position of judging my children or myself; ) So far, it's been fully exposed for one season in the rain and hot sun, and it still looks and performs like new!.
Playing with a ball is a great way to pass the time. Soccer was used in this instance. longevity I can drive the ball as hard as I want without fear of breaking it, demonstrating my toughness. The size is fantastic because it allows you to play soccer against the wall. ball to play some technical games that are both entertaining and educational. I'm not happy with how the middle bar's button broke, preventing me from folding it up for easy storage. This isn't a deal breaker for me, but I can't use the adjusting angles any longer. The ground pass does not return a strong pass unless it is directed to the ground net, and even then, the ball may return as a bouncy pass rather than a ground pass. I've found that aerial passes for volleys and half-volleys are the best uses for it. trapping out of the air and volleys When doing volleys, the bar that runs across the net can get in the way, but after a few hours, it becomes less of an issue. After a few weeks of practice, you'll find yourself avoiding it more. It is still strong after being left outside in the cold, rain, and snow. I have a feeling that once the net loses its spring, I won't be concerned because the elastic bands provided with the set up can be used to tighten the net.
