Questions & Answers

Is it necessary to attach the skirt to the metal frame so that the straps can go around it? This is nowhere in the instructions, and the frame is, of course, together?

Starting with the four corners, add a bungee in the middle of each section (top, bottom, and both sides) before continuing with the bungees. This will aid in the dispersal of tension. The remaining bungees can be added at this point. The skirt can then be strapped on. For more information, call us at 203- 591- 9032

What is the best way to fold something to store it?

It folds in half if you remove the pins in the middle and the back support poles.

Is it possible to play volleyball with it? What do you mean by serving, passing, and so on?

Yes, you certainly can.

Does anyone know where I can get a new mesh for this?

The company name and contact information are listed in the directions. When I contacted them, they were extremely helpful.

Hugely impressive
5/5

This is unquestionably a top-notch pitch return. I don't know what I was expecting, but this thing is monstrous and powerful. I can't guarantee it will last 5 years in the rain because I just set it up, but it isn't cheaply made; solid tubing and high-quality bolts are used. I wasn't expecting it to fold either; I guess I didn't read the instructions carefully enough, but this thing folds flat and the hitch pin holds it all together in a package that is easy to carry (for a 6' man). I put this together with the help of my seven-year-old, but only to hold one leg upright until I connected the center bar, which then held it all together, allowing me to assemble the rest by myself in about 15 minutes without using any tools except a ladder to connect the top bungees because this thing is huge. I would strongly advise you to purchase this pitchback.

It does not appear to be as depicted in the image
3/5

I couldn't wait to get my hands on it! Except for part of the base connections, the metal portion was not difficult to put together. The instructions were hazy and hard to understand. The net was extremely difficult to install, and the backdrop did not fit properly. On the plus side, it has a decent bounce to it. back, but I couldn't figure out how to put the bottom net on. The finished product does not resemble the image on Amazon. I'm let down.

Rebounder is awesome! This was a Christmas present for my son, and he absolutely adores it
5/5

The frame was fairly simple to put together. We were having trouble connecting to the internet until I returned here and discovered someone's review with the solution. Attach the top and bottom, then do one on the side, then the other, going back and forth from side to side, one at a time. If you attach one complete side, you won't be able to pull hard enough to attach the other.

It's best if you can assemble with two or three people
4/5

It's even better if one of them is a member of the Avenger team. It's only been two days since we got it. The boys seem to enjoy it, but I'll just say that my issue is with the assembly. We couldn't figure out how to assemble the mammoth-sized item because the instructions weren't clear, and we couldn't find any videos on how to do so. Basically, we looked through the reviews for customer images and tried to figure out the best way to do it. The pieces of paper (also known as "directions") provided were insufficient (at least for me, but I'm not an engineer, so that could be why). Also, unless you live with a Hulk or Captain America, connecting the bungees was nearly impossible. Since this is athletic gear, I'll assume you have a strong person in your household. This is the individual you must enlist for assistance. The bungees must be pulled and wrapped around the frame with Herculean strength. For the love of it. I'm not making this up. It was completely out of control. My 16-year-old son, who lifts weights and is in excellent shape, had a difficult time. It would have been impossible if I hadn't remembered that we had a tool in our garage that we had once used to pull springs when putting together our trampoline; once we found it, the process went much more smoothly. It was still extremely difficult, but it became easier as more bungees were connected. Now that that's out of the way, we're really enjoying it. Now that it's all put together, it's a good product, but be forewarned.

It's a good size, but it's a little tricky to set up at first I really like how large the target area is in comparison to the competition
5/5

We had trouble installing the netting as well, as did most people. On the first day, we were able to complete level one tightening. The following day, I was able to stretch the cord even further to achieve level 2 tightness all around (level 3 on top using my weight as leverage). My daughter is now a lot more cheerful. br>br>the method for stretching the cord out even more - 1) Place the rebounder face down, 2) pull the cord straight toward you (away from the net), 3) wrap the cord around the frame while maintaining extreme tension toward the net, 4) pull the net toward you with your other hand while maintaining tension on the cord if 3 was insufficient, 5) drop the hook on level 2 position, 6) repeat the process a few days later for level 3 positionbr>br>EDIT: I caught up on other reviews late, and the use of clamps is something I never considered, and it's quite clever. Make use of whatever tools you have on hand! br>br>You will get the least amount of bounce back if you hit the center target area. Keep in mind that if you hit the ball off center, top bottom left, or right, it will bounce back with much more force.

This is a great throwback to lacrosse
4/5

br>br>Picture does not do justice to the true size of this. br>br>Purchased this for my children so they would have enough throwback space to both use it at the same time. br>br>Picture does not do justice to the true size of this. This retro toy is large enough for two children to use at the same time, but it is also taller than expected. br>br>It's not easy to put together a Throwback; When putting up the net, you'll need at least two people. It'd be even better if you could get four people to help. br>br>Folding the throwback isn't difficult, but it does require two people to disengage both safety pins at the same time. This is inconvenient because getting a child to assist with folding something is not always easy. br>br>Item is easily carried by one person once folded. It's not as heavy as it appears to be. The pictures are a little deceiving, which is a big negative. I assumed the area where the ball lands would be covered in black; No, that is a backdrop that was used and provided for the photographs. Instead of a flat black surface, the throwback is made of a black see-through net. Although it is not a deal breaker, I wish the company had made it clearer. This is why I gave it a four-star rating.

Setup is difficult - The netting, specifically
4/5

This item has only recently been unboxed. I haven't had the opportunity to try it yet. It has a solid feel to it and a very tight surface. The only criticism is that the set-up is more difficult than anticipated. The instructions state that the bottom net should be installed using two (2) 5' lengths of string to weave/attach to the frame, but the string was not long enough, not even close. I gave up after attempting to use the provided length of rope several times and instead used paracord from my work bench. Due to the item's size, it's also recommended that two (2) people assemble it.
