For my 6-year-old daughter, I bought an extra small one. year- It was appropriate for him as a 12-year-old child. To be honest, I'd like to purchase a slightly larger one as well, because my child will continue to grow as time passes.

These were as simple to put on and take off as a pair of socks. I like how the round top has a little padding sticking up to keep the plastic from digging in. Also, I had no idea there were round pads on the sides of the ankles to protect them; this is fantastic! Both my 40lb and 30lb kids are wearing the xs size, and it fits them perfectly.
br>br>I did have to return them because they were too large for my son. He is a 2/young 3 year old man. They would have fit if he had been a year older.
These were the perfect size for my three-year-old. He is unconcerned about the tightness with which the ankle portion is fastened.
These fit my 4-year-old so much better than the other pair of soccer shin guards I ordered! She finds them to be more comfortable and easier to move into. I can put them on her more easily.
