To include people who have a double chin, yes. These are shin guards for your legs, not arm guards. They are sold in pairs, just like socks and other bilateral appendage-related items.
My fruit was an apricot, which was unfortunate. When I contacted the vendor, they informed me that pear was no longer available. When pears are in season, the best time to order is when they are in season.
You're going to get two of them. Each leg gets its own pair.
To bring this thread up to date. Our newest addition is a 5-year-old daughter. The XSm was far too small for me. The size is appropriate. Although she is tall for her age, these are a size too small for her.

Shin guards that are very nice. I'm not sure what makes a good pair of shin guards, but my son likes them, and the price is hard to beat. The medium fit my son perfectly. He is 9 years old and stands at 4'9". I couldn't find a size chart under the product information, so I looked online for one and used that. I've attached a photo of the size chart in case anyone is interested.
My five-year-old daughter stands at just over four feet. They appear to be a good match for her. Her first practice is tomorrow, so I'll update my review once she tells me how she feels after a 90-minute workout.
I ordered a Youth Large because I assumed they were youth sizes. I was given an Adult Large size. "How do I reorder this item to ensure that I receive a YOUTH LARGE?" I wrote to Customer Service. The text of their response is pasted below. So I'm reordering in the hopes that the Adult Medium will fit him well, given that he's already 4'7" and it's not yet soccer season. This appears to be a superior tool to the previously mentioned sizes. I'm hoping they're worth the effort because my son liked the color and styling. UPDATE: These MEDIUM shin guards were great for a young boy, and GE got two seasons out of them. Even though they are supposed to work up to 5'3", they are now 11 years old and 5'2" tall. By comparison, the LARGE appears to be enormous. 5 times the width and 5 times the height. They appeared to be too big at first, but he quickly grew into them. Use this as a guide to determine the proper size for your child based on his or her height.

I wish I could have gotten more specific size information from the seller or the reviews. I read them all and decided to make a judgment based on the (incomplete) information provided by the reviews. br>PUNISHMENT: My ten-year-old son, who is of average/slim build, wore them in medium black. They are just below his knee length. Any larger would be problematic, and it's worth noting that shin guards don't have to come all the way up to the knee. I believe that many of the reviewers (parents) have never played soccer. The impacts are more likely to occur closer to the foot. The shins' upper parts aren't in danger. The much smaller ones became too narrow to wrap around the circumference of our children's legs, so we had to get new ones. I can't speak to durability just yet, but I wanted to share the sizing information because I wished I had more when I was clicking around.
This is fantastic. My daughter is unaffected by my repeated shin kicks.
We buy the small size. These are the perfect fit. My son is five years old and will turn six in November.
Her calf muscles are buff and she stands just over 3 feet tall. I got her the XXS and they're perfect; they cover her shin and the strap comfortably wraps around her calf. There's no need to be concerned about the Velcro irritating her skin because it hooks over the front of the guard. It comes highly recommended!.
Size up. My four-year-old is petite (37 inches tall and 26 pounds), so I ordered the xxs. They fit her perfectly, but I should have ordered a size smaller based on the sizing chart on the package. Sizing up is a must.
