Is it able to help reduce odors in any way?

Smell is a result of sweat bacteria. If you wore socks for a long time without washing them, they would smell terrible. Gloves for goalkeepers are not any different from those for other players. You shouldn't experience any problems as long as you wash your gloves regularly and allow them to air dry. I don't smell anything coming from my son's gloves. The shoes have never gotten dirty. I wash them a few times a week. Don't twist and wring the latex make sure you get it on the inside and on the latex as well. The water coming out of the washer should mostly be clear after a few washes.
