Rather than plastic, these spikes are made of rubber. You wouldn't feel as much pain if you stepped on the cleats as you would if you stepped on A turf cleat is what you would call them. I am not sure if a 2 is acceptable. As a soccer parent, I actually liked the size 6 because most soccer shoes have narrow soles, and my child has a wide foot so the wide width was perfect.

In the field of turf and artificial grass, this particular model performs well. The grip is excellent, the feel is excellent, and the comfort is excellent. Our claim of "great traction" refers to the fact that these turf shoes are superior to any other we have tried so far on artificial grass, which is exactly what we were hoping to find. Since the rubber compound on the shoes is soft, they grip on two different surfaces - artificial grass and shorter carpet - and have aggressive tread design. Turf is like that.
