The stays keep the belt in place over even the thinnest of tee shirts without causing discomfort. br>These days, I can't stand for more than 5 minutes without sitting for a minute or two, which makes things like shopping, housework, and yard work time-consuming. I can go wherever I want and do almost anything with this brace. I also purchased a rolling walker with a flip seat and hand brakes, eliminating the need for the electric shopping carts. I can walk for longer with the brace and sit for a minute or two with the walker. Now I'm back in control of my life.

This is a real winner! It's that easy. It has a waistband and shoulder straps that can be adjusted. A word of caution, though. if you're thinking about it Measurement, measurement, measurement. I rarely wear 2XL clothing, but in this case, go one size up from your "measured" waist size to ensure that it fits over your clothes. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED! This item would have cost me twice as much if it hadn't been on sale.

After well over a decade, if not more, of use, my last Proflex belt finally wore out. I'm 50 years old and have worked in the commercial HVAC industry for the past 28 years. My lower back is affected by arthritis and joint degeneration. When I lift heavy weights with this belt on, I don't have any back pain; however, if I lift without it, I can end up on my back for days. Suspenders are not worn by me. When I ride dirt bikes, I also use it. I take it with me wherever I go, including on vacation.

It's not just for weightlifters and movers who need to recover from back surgery. When all I could do for exercise was move around with a walker and walk a few houses down the block a few weeks after back surgery, I was told to wear this type of belt. I wore it all the time at home, too, because it reminded me not to twist or bend, and it alleviated the general pain I was experiencing for the first month. It should be on the list of items to use after any back surgeries, and despite the fact that I was fitted with a very hard support belt, this one worked much better.

This back brace met all of my expectations. The sizing was accommodating and the garment was a perfect fit for me. The shoulder straps are excessive and inconvenient for me, but they are neither uncomfortable nor a deal breaker. This brace provides significantly more support than any other I've used in recent years. I'm using it for yard work rather than commercial work, and I'm not suffering from severe back pain, surgery, or other back issues. It's being used to help support lower back muscles that have been injured in the past. Clearly not a medical device, but for my needs, it's a fantastic product. I paid full price for it and was not asked or compensated for my opinion.

I have two more that were given to me by previous employers. However, they were nowhere near as nice as this belt, which has a noticeably heavier construction. duty. The shoulder straps on this belt are longer and wider than those on most other belts. The belt is extremely comfortable to wear while also being extremely stiff and supportive of the lower back. The support level can be adjusted by pulling or loosening the outer side support straps around the waist, and there are also rubber gripping bars on the back/inner side of the belt to keep it in place more securely. This is a high-end belt made from high-end materials.
