According to a size chart, you should measure across the palm of your hand and take a measurement of less than 3. S/M refers to a height of 4 inches. Over 3. 4 inches is a substantial size. At 3, I'm in the middle of the pack. 4". I order a large size because I wear them when my hands hurt and swell. I hope you find this information useful.

My budget does not allow for the better / best options. These provide excellent compression, but they are not suitable for edema. The seams will cause tissue trauma because they are on the inside. The image depicts how the seams behave after a few minutes of use. I understand that not everyone will want or be able to do so, but I did make some changes to make them work perfectly. I took the wrist supports off, turned them inside out, sewed the seam back on, and now the seams are on the outside, so they don't cause any harm.
I started with the medium size. It was so small that the base of the index finger hole was tight. My finger's circulation was cut off as a result. I purchased the large in the hopes of getting a better deal. It also strangles the index finger, which is a problem for me because my hands aren't particularly large at an 8. The Large glove size may fit a size 8 hand, but it will not be comfortable to wear any larger. Be aware that the sizing is not accurate.
We have a seasonal business that necessitates a lot of computer time during the holidays. Except at this time of year, I never experience carpal tunnel syndrome. I bought these after a friend recommended them to me because she was suffering from pain from medical transcription typing. They did an excellent job. It isn't clumsy or bulky. Everything is in place. ☺. I have occasional wrist problems as a result of my work as a baggage handler and many years of painting and wallpapering. When they start bothering me, I tell them to stop. I use them for a variety of purposes. 3 days to support my wrists while the swelling goes down. After that, it's as if it never happened. ☺.
I've had this type before, but I really like how the only finger divided is my index finger; I usually have to cut the others apart because they're uncomfortable. This is ideal for my wrist arthritis!!.
These come in handy when I'm typing at work or painting at home because I have a lot of hand pain.
When I type at work and at home, as well as when I drive, I use the gloves. The gloves can be washed by hand or machine and air dried quickly. I was overjoyed when I discovered a pair of "large" gloves. I've looked in several stores but haven't been able to find this size, and my request for the item to be stocked at the local Walmart Pharmacy has yet to be met. This product and this vendor come highly recommended from me.
