These are great for my middle finger's knuckle (the part closest to the tip). br>I believe these will work well on the thumb if purchased in the correct size.
My index finger is giving me the same trouble. I'm wearing a size seven, and the first joint appears to be irritated. I try to keep it on all night, but it does throb occasionally. I think I'll have to go up a size. I believe it is beneficial, but you should continue to experiment with different sizes.
I had no problems returning it.
For my pinkie finger, I got the small three. The size medium was ideal. For my mother's thumb, I chose a medium size. The biggest one was big enough.

It seems ridiculous that you have to pay $35 for a sample pack in order to figure out what size you require. It seems to me that you could provide a measurement chart so that we could get a better idea of what size to order without having to buy the $35 pack of all sizes.
I absolutely love these splints now that I know how to adjust the fit around my arthritic finger joints. br>There's no need to go under the knife. br>I had a "mucous cyst" in the joint of my left hand's middle finger, which was closest to the fingernail. br>A surgery date was set. br>The day of the operation - There was no cyst because it had naturally deflated. br>The surgeon advised me to splint and immobilize both joints in that finger for at least three weeks. The metal/blue foam padded finger splint available at local drug stores was extremely uncomfortable to use. br>As a result, I began my search. br>I came across these little gems while searching the internet. I looked for them on Amazon and couldn't find them. br>My first splint is a size 8, and my second splint is a size 9. br>For a woman, I have large hands. br>It's a LOT more comfortable than the clumsy blue foam padded full wrap around aluminum splint available at local drugstores. Yes, I sleep with it on. br>At this point, it's just another part of my daily routine. br>I only take it off when I'm bathing because it tends to slip around and off. br>Because I have minimal pain when the joint is moved without the splints on, it's simply easier to live with them as a new part of me rather than undergo surgery to fuse the joint (which has no guarantee of complete pain relief).
I got an 8 out of 10. The 9 was ideal (as suggested by the flex tape measure). The other two aren't going to work. br>br>I didn't even realize the 9 had popped off while I was working. It was never found. br>br>They should make three packages of the same size, but they will make three times as much money this way.
This was the most effective way for me to keep my trigger finger straight and prevent it from locking. Unlike fabric splints, it is made of plastic and is easy to use when washing your hands. I'd buy them again if the opportunity presented itself. as well as!!.
For trigger finger, I tried three different products. This is a well-designed and comfortable splint. The three-pack allows you to find the perfect fit. While not expensive, it is significantly more expensive than the others I tested and must cost around 50 cents to produce, but that is how medical devices make money. Because it allows for a slight bend, it wasn't as effective at keeping my finger as straight as I'd like. I preferred a different splint that was less expensive and provided two instead of one.
I was hesitant to buy these braces because of the cost, but they are well worth it. I took measurements of the joint and purchased the packages 10, 11, and 12. During the day, I wear a ten-inch shoe. When my hands are a little more swollen in the evenings and when I sleep, I wear the size 11. For jobs such as folding laundry and viragos cleaning, I wear a size 10 with a size 12 on top. The best feature is that while wearing this brace, you can wash your hands, hair, and wring out a dish cloth. The brace is light, allows for good airflow, is waterproof, and prevents painful bending of my thumb. These are well worth the money.
After years of using pop cycle sticks to make braces. These are fantastic; I'll be able to wear them for the majority of the day. They're the same color as my skin, and I love seeing my fingers almost straight when I look down at them.
