Questions & Answers

Is it a wrap bandage or a pad bandage?

They're a pad-style bandage with strong adhesive strips on two of the square pad's edges. They stay put and don't need any additional tape in most cases. After a motorcycle accident, I used them to conceal large areas of "road rash."

How did these get here? Is it better to buy a 100-piece box or a ten-piece box?

It runs the length of both sides of the building. However, the order I received was devoid of any adhesive, so I sent it back. best of luck!

I'm curious about the bandage's color. ?

These bandages are so customizable that they are a valuable addition to my medicine cabinet for anyone who needs a customizable bandage to cover a wide range of wound sizes
5/5

Furthermore, because the adhesive area is so small, air can reach the wound more easily, speeding up the healing process. The adhesive is very strong, which is great, but after three days of changing the bandage twice a day, I noticed that a small amount of sticky residue had formed on my skin. The pad is coated on both sides to keep the bandage from sticking to the wound and to keep any wound residue from seeping into clothing or bedding. This is an excellent product.

The procedure is painless
5/5

I challenge you to come up with a better bandage! I've used this product countless times on the field as an EMT in New York and in my personal life with family and friends, especially since I ride street bikes and dirt bikes doing freestyle as a hobby, and the strong but gentle adhesive makes removing it after a shower or whenever you need to clean the wound and replace the bandage painless. The adhesive on the Bandage adheres to your skin very well, and even if you roll it over the cut, it does not irritate it or stick to it directly, whereas if it hits/makes contact with your skin, it forms a fantastic seal. Because the Band-Aid is breathable, you can scab up without having to replace the bandage, whereas other bandages create such an airtight seal that the injury site won't scab up, forcing you to leave the cut/wound open to the air until it scabs up. br> Another option is "crash pads," which are more expensive but better in the long run if you don't want to replace the bandage on a regular basis due to the severity of the injury or low pain tolerance. This is an essential component of any EMS or home first-aid kit. br>I challenge you to come up with a better bandage!.

Convidien/Kendall telfa is also a good made in the USA product
5/5

The Telfa model 7643 adhesive dressing or bandages is the subject of this review. My order was fulfilled by Amazon after I purchased it from MaxCare. br>br>First, these are no longer Kendall, but Covidien Telfa; Covidien purchased Kendall and now manufactures them, so they are now Covidien Telfa rather than Kendall Telfa. However, the end result is the same. sort of. It's also made in the United States. br>br>I had a few old ones that were the Kendall version from a few years ago that were almost gone, so I wanted to get some more. I opened one of the new ones when they arrived and compared the old and new ones. br>br>These are the non-stick type of dressings, which have a sticky or glue on the edge of the dressing that is about 3/8" wide and only on two sides, the longer sides, so you don't need to use tape to apply and keep them in place. When comparing them to the old Kendall ones I have, these new Covidien ones, the gauze in the center seems to be 30% thinner than the old Kendall ones I have. It could just be my imagination because they are so thin, but I compared them side by side and even compressed them to compare the pressed versions, and it appears to me that they now have less gauze in the center. Aside from that, they appear to be the same product as when Kendall created them. The color is white. br>br> Kendall's were a tan/light brown color, but I guess Covidien only makes white ones; when they say light draining, they really mean light. While you can use another type of gauze to double up on the gauze, keep in mind that these aren't designed to handle a lot of draining. They're still wrapped in non-stick plastic on the outside, just like Kendall made them. They're also still individually wrapped. My box's use-by date is set for 2019-02. 05 (approximately 4 years) "Caution: Caution: Caution: Caution: Caution: Caution: Caution: Caution: Caution: Caution: Caution: Caution: Caution: Caution: Caution: Caution" is printed on the packaging Dry natural rubber is used in the product's packaging. " A DEHP symbol with a large X runs through it as well. I looked it up and discovered that it's a plastic softening agent known as "di(2- Because of health concerns, the use of ethylhexyl)phthalate is now prohibited in the EU. As a result, the fact that it isn't used here is a good thing. br>br>Overall, they appear to be about as good as they were when Kendall made them, and they are still a good product; my only complaints are that I wish the gauze in the center was a little thicker and more absorbent, and that I preferred the tan color. Aside from that, there aren't any issues. br>br>One thing I'd like to point out. Others have complained or stated that they did not receive Kendall ones, and as a result, have left a negative review for the product. I'm not sure if the seller did a bait and switch, or if they received the new ones with the Covidien name on them and assumed the worst because they didn't say Kendall. I've had people advertise one product and then send a completely different brand in its place, so I'm familiar with this. That's why, when I placed my order, I got the ones from MaxCare because Amazon filled it, and Amazon is usually pretty good about matching product brands. Because of these factors, many people have given the product low ratings, which the product did not deserve because it was not particularly bad, and they are blaming the product for what the seller may have done incorrectly. This should be displayed on the sellers' end, not the products', and for this reason, I'm giving it five stars instead of four, because other buyers' foolishness in blaming a product for what the seller did wrong. That is why you are able to provide feedback to both the seller and the product. Leave a bad seller rating instead of a product that you have never tried if the seller does something wrong.

Although it provides good coverage and is simple to apply, it has the potential to irritate the skin
5/5

My incisions aren't healing properly after a major operation. Covering wounds with these is the simplest. They do irritate and hurt the skin where the adhesive is after a while, but that could be due to me. Fortunately, the part is only a small strip at the bandage's edges on two sides. These are also difficult to come by at the local pharmacy.

Bandages with excellent adhesive properties
5/5

I have diabetes, so I heal more slowly, but I had one cut that I took to the doctor about because it hadn't healed after a month. He used zinc oxide to treat it and handed me some Tefla adhesive dressing to use at home. I liked how they adhered to my skin because I break out when I use bandages, and they were ideal for my sensitive skin. As a result, I purchased these to match the ones my doctor had given me. They're doing fantastically well. I gave a few to my son-in-law for his neck wound, and he was pleased with how well they adhered to his skin.

Although it is a good size, it does not adhere well to the skin
3/5

I recently received the Telfa Kendal Ouchless Adherent 3" x 4" Sterile Dressings bandages, which I urgently needed to cover some blister wounds on an elderly person. They do not adhere properly, unfortunately; They fall off even on a flat skin surface when the body moves; We were in desperate need of these to keep some blisters from sticking to the elders' pajamas. Fortunately, we had purchased a few Walgreens brand stickers with a sticky tape backing separately, and they worked, but we still need more. We were not happy with this Tefla brand, so we returned it.

I applied a thick layer of occlusive ointment to the pads and they came off easily
5/5

I purchased the adhesive bandages to prevent severe road rash from causing me to lay my Honda Goldwing down on the pavement in order to avoid a T-bone collision with a driver who began making a left turn in front of me. My knees, forearms, and one elbow had to be covered at all times. With the adhesive strips on the Telfa pads, there was no need to use tape to hold the bandages in place. I applied a thick layer of occlusive ointment to the pads, and they came off without damaging the granular tissue that had formed. The adhesive did cause some minor skin irritation, but it's a small price to pay. Because the adhesive is so good, it tends to take a little hide off after a while. There are no complaints about the product and I am 100% satisfied. The few I have left will accompany us on our journey.
