Questions & Answers

Is it silicone for bandages?

They aren't made of silicone. Foam dressing is what they are. Padded nicely. They were used by my husband to treat pressure sores caused by his prosthetic leg. He stated that they performed admirably.

Do they have an expiration date or are they close to it? As they age, the adhesive begins to fail. Please accept my gratitude. ?

Thank you very much; the Allevyn Border Dressing patches I received were all very fresh and new, and well before their expiration date. These dressings, in my opinion, are excellent.

Is this a medium or a light version?

It says "gentle border," but the picture shows "gentle border lite," despite the fact that the description mentions a regular gentle border for moderate drainage.

Is there a way to tell if the pad is water resistant?

Yes, that is correct. There is no way for water to reach the wound once it has been applied to the skin. The pad's outer layer is completely water-resistant.

For wounds, this is an excellent product
5/5

The arm of daddy was seen by the home health nurse. We were using 4x4 bandages every day with antibiotic ointment because he had ripped off a good amount of skin. She presented us with one of the Allevyn bandages, claiming that they were superior. She was always correct, man. Padded, comfortable, and the antibiotic ointment can be worn for up to 5 days. Just make sure it doesn't get soiled by a leaking wound. Of course, if that happens, you'll have to change more frequently. It holds up well. Allow the skin to dry after cleaning the wound. I usually take a few minutes to think about it. After that, use a bandage to cover the wound. On slightly damp skin, no bandage will adhere. The price is a little high, but it balances out due to the bandages' durability. A bandage that isn't like any other.

Protects and preserves the skin! Wound healing should be cultivated
5/5

Dress the wound with pomegranate juice and do a dry dressing. This product is ideal in terms of both performance and cost. Mom has thin skin that easily breaks down. Wound dressing is important for protecting open wounds and preventing infiltration of body fluids, and dressing it allows it to breathe, stay dry, and heal, and the silicone borders are forgiven to the skin where there is no further breakdown or peeling off of skin along with replacing the dressing.

Sticks that are well-padded and easy to remove
5/5

We've been using them on a very delicate wound, and they're the best bandages we've ever used. They have a good grip. However, it may come up a little when you first put it on until your body heat aids the adhesive's adhesion. They are well padded in areas where extra protection is required. They don't pull your skin off or even hurt when they pull it off (for those who are allergic to everything else).

Burns and scrapes benefit greatly from this product
5/5

These were used to treat a second-degree burn. The pad does not leave a stench on the skin, and the padding is very comfortable. They are costly, but they eliminate the need for additional coverage. I like the padding and how well it adheres. I used it for a severe scrape on my elbow, which I felt and slid on asphalt, and it stayed in place despite the fact that my elbow has a lot of movement. Keep on hand at all times.

VERY EXPENSIVE, BUT WORTH EVERY PENNY
5/5

I have an infected wound from a minor surgery. This bandage is by far the best and most comfortable of all the bandages I've used. Spend the money and enjoy yourself. It will be well worth your time and effort.

This bandage is incredible
5/5

After my husband's back surgery, we wrapped him in these bandages. They provided some padding and kept the area dry, even when showering. They didn't stick to the incision, and unlike most bandages, they didn't irritate his skin. He wore them for a total of two weeks. Even though they are pricey, I would strongly recommend them because you get what you pay for. We needed a cushioned, water-resistant bandage that wouldn't irritate his skin, and we got it.

Allevyn is the best there is, and it's a good size
5/5

There is no doubt about it. Because of the thin foam padding, the size is ideal for small to medium wounds or simply preventing wound formation. The Allevyn does not require changing unless it is soiled. In areas where there may be a problem, such as the sacrum, the dressing can stay in place for days.

This dressing adheres to the skin
5/5

Pressure ulcers are a risk for my husband because he uses a wheelchair. I've learned that if I apply Allevyn as soon as I notice redness, the cushioning and skin protection will help to heal the area and prevent further breakdown. I've never used a better product!.
