Questions & Answers

Is there any gel inside this?

Yes, the gel is contained within each of them. I found it to be very effective, and I changed it more frequently than they recommended, with the healing time appearing to be very acceptable.

Hello, what is your date of birth?

1st of May in the year 2024

Is this a self-stick product?

Yes, they are self-adhesive. Using skinprep wipes to seal the skin oils for a better stick is recommended, but it is not required. It's also best to keep it on for as long as possible for the best results (up to a week if it doesn't leak).

Is it necessary to clean the wound before applying the medication? Is it better to use alcohol or another substance...?

Yes. Although the item is sterile, it is not antiseptic. Before applying DuoDerm, make sure the wound is clean. It stays on for the specified amount of time once applied.

Description that is misleading – There are ten pieces in total
3/5

There are two boxes of five pieces in this set. I couldn't tell it was two boxes of five instead of two boxes of ten because I couldn't see the image clearly enough on my phone. I didn't realize boxes of five existed because all the ones I'd seen before were boxes of ten. For a quantity of 20, this would have been a reasonable price, but for a quantity of ten, it is prohibitively expensive. br>I'll provide an update once the product has been used. I just wanted to warn anyone else who might have purchased this under the impression that they were getting a good deal.

I'm disabled and am using these to treat a potential pressure sore
4/5

A BANDAGE COSTING $15 AT THE LOCAL MEDICAL SUPPLY! So this is a fantastic deal, and it's exactly what the supply store would have given me. They appear to be working so far. Because I have to trim them to fit, I find that rounding the edges helps them stick better. I wish there were arrows indicating the best cutting direction so the backing could be removed more easily. I cut the wrong way the first time and had to work hard to get my finger nail underneath the backing. The second time I cut correctly, there was only a small tab of backing to remove when I peeled the paper away. A lot less difficult. Regrettably, I have no recollection of which way the bandage was worn. So it'll be a game of chance again next time. Lol. They do, however, adhere to the skin extremely well. However, if a corner comes unstuck and sticks to your clothes, be cautious. This could be tmi, but I went to the bathroom and my bandage, which was a very small piece I had cut and placed on my tailbone, became stuck to my underwear. To get unstuck, I had to work really hard. It's a good thing it wasn't an emergency in the bathroom. Lol. My clothes still have some residue on them. I'm thinking of trying something like Goo Gone. Anyway, to cut a long story short, this is a fantastic deal for a fantastic product.

Gelatin from porcine/bovine sources is used in this gentle hypoallergenic non-kosher non-vegan product
5/5

In my sensitive skin, it's so gentle. I also use them around my wound bed, where I use my wound vacuum, as a seal and allergy relief tool. For anyone struggling with irritation and ending up here, it's an old trick to get a better seal and relieve irritation. It's a lot easier to get rid of it this way. Although mine can't, they can sometimes be left in place for multiple dressing changes. To wrap the wound, simply cut strips to fit. According to sources, the RN who became the patient, lol. If you're treating an ulcer and the medications are sticking to you or your patient, try Alleyn Gentle Boarder. There are numerous alternatives available to them. It's a bit on the pricey side, but it's well worth it Always seek medical advice before taking any action. I'm referring to wound care under supervision and some ideas you might have. I'm hesitant to even share what I've learned. I'm also referring to small ulcers with very little or no open skin. You cannot do this at home if you do not understand what I am referring to. A lot more than an alleyn or duoderm is required for large ulcers. There. I've stepped down from my throne. These things, on the other hand, are fantastic for a variety of wounds.

Very good
5/5

Both the thin and thick bandages are appealing to me. I use both of them with additional gel (although this one already had gel in it). I applied pressure to a superficial pressure wound where the skin had deteriorated and was bloody. 3 days later, the bandage was removed, and the wound had healed completely. The thicker bandage is beneficial for providing extra pressure protection.

Depending on where and how the product is used, Duoderm can aid in the healing of irritated areas
3/5

For a short period of time (2 - 3 months), this product is sufficient. 3 days). If not changed, the edges of the folded patch will roll up and wrinkle, trapping delicate skin. If the patch gets wet while bathing or showering, it loses adhesion around the edges. Patch removal is time-consuming and necessitates the use of rubbing alcohol or witch hazel to dissolve the adhesive, which frequently causes tearing of delicate tissue, resulting in bleeding and irritation. Similar products with a tegaderm edging are significantly better. Overall, wound coverage is adequate; however, wrinkles and rolled up edges can be more irritating to the skin than products containing tegaderm-derived ingredients. edging for types Additionally, adhesive oozes from all edges and adheres to clothing, i. e. , underwear, bedding, or bath towels are all examples of these items. Tegaderm-edged products are more expensive, but they are much better.

These are absolutely fantastic
5/5

I'm surprised that fewer people are aware of these. This business is overlooking a significant market opportunity. I recently suffered from severe turf burn (even a light breeze hurt it), and for the first few days, I struggled with "non-healing" symptoms. gauze, tape, and other materials can be used to make "stick" gauze. Replacing the dressing several times a day was excruciatingly painful, as it always ripped off any layer of scab that had formed. Using a small amount of hydrogel to apply this was fantastic. I'm in a lot less pain, have a lot more mobility because the wound isn't scabbing up, and I can shower without any pain! br>br>Extremely, extremely recommended for scrapes, turf burns, road rash, and other minor injuries.

This product should not be purchased! First, the description of how many you received with your order was deceptive
3/5

Second, it's a Chinese product. In terms of safety protocols, this is not a reliable location. Third, the adhesive is so strong that it feels like it's pulling my skin and the pad off at the same time. Fourth, the gel on pad did not work as well as it should have in removing the infection. Fifth, the adhesive triggered a severe allergic reaction in my skin that felt like a burn, and sixth, I bought the one made in the United States. Not only does it work to remove the infection, but it also doesn't make me feel like I'm pulling my skin off, and it hasn't caused me any allergic reactions. I bought this shoddy one because the one made in the United States was too expensive. was out of stock for a few days, and my doctor advised that I treat the infection as soon as possible. DO NOT BUY THIS ONE; it can only be purchased in the United States.

Pressure sores can be prevented and treated
5/5

This is a must-have if you want to avoid pressure sores. If your skin becomes red, use it before it breaks, and change it when it loosens on its own. Clean and dry the area thoroughly; if there is any ointment underneath, it will not be able to do its job. This is going to be extremely beneficial.
