This product is described as a 4x4 gauze pad on Amazon. The outer measurements are correct, as stated on the box and in the product description, and I hope this information is helpful.
This sacral pad is very effective at reducing skin irritation caused by pressure. When my spouse was admitted to the ICU after a car accident, I learned about this type of dressing. The nurses applied Mepilex as soon as they noticed any redness, and the skin remained unharmed; however, this brand of dressing does not cover the area as well as Mepilex, but it is much less expensive.
Hello,br>br>This latex-free dressing contains a silicone wound contact layer, a super absorbent pad, polyurethane foam, a non-woven layer, and a vapor permeable and waterproof polyurethane film.

This foam pad was used to cushion protruding vertebrae on a patient with compression fractures of the spine; while it provided comfort and stayed in place well, the stickiness was too much for sensitive skin, and removing it was uncomfortable. br>br>Edited to add: "pack of ten" is mentioned in this review. I received a pack of five when I was sure I had ordered a pack of ten, so I gave it a low dollar value. I still stand by my product rating, but I would advise you to be aware of what you're buying.
Each component is of excellent quality, but when assembled, they do not function optimally. The remaining silicone part to stick it to your body is very small because the "cushion" is nice and thick, which I like. It causes the wound to remain half open, allowing germs to enter from the side, rendering the waterproof feature ineffective. However, there is a simple solution to the problem. All you have to do now is use tape to seal the edges. But am I sure that's what I want to do? No, not at all.
This was purchased for my wife, who was recovering from a serious injury and would be bedridden for several weeks. This helped a small ulcer heal more quickly by protecting the skin from pressure irritation.
On a back operation, it was used on a four-inch incision. changed every day for seven days until the wound had healed. I think you did an excellent job. All of my local drugstores (CVS, rite aid, Walgreens, and Walmart) were out of this size.
I like these, but they could be a little more cushioned. I'm suffering from a painful bed sore. More cushioning would be extremely beneficial. But. Thanks be to God for these.
Pressure wounds on the backside of a person I'm disabled. There was a lot of pain relief.
So I covered the incision with gauze before applying the bandage.
This is what I use to treat a large calf wound. It's exactly what I was looking for. It absorbs a lot of moisture and stays on your skin for a long time.
