I'm not sure what percentage it is. I know they used this on me at the wound clinic, and having my own square at home saved me from having to go to the clinic every day. Whatever the silver content, it's good stuff.
You can apply it dry or with a topical, depending on your doctor's instructions. If it dries out and sticks to the wound before it's time to change it, it's time to change it. To soften/gel it, add a little water. It's all right. You can use saline to make the silver inactive when changing the bandages.
The silver arrived in perfect condition.
Each package contains one 4" x 5" sheet. We trimmed the sheet to fit the wound perfectly. From each sheet, we can make multiple dressings.

To see the phrase "(by the Each)," you must expand the text. br>Are you serious? I would have had no idea what "by the each" meant until I got the one small pack. Aquacell ag ribbon comes in 5-packs for under $20. 00, so there was no way of knowing if it was too good to be true.
To begin, keep in mind that this dressing is quite costly when it contains silver (Ag), but it is incredibly effective in promoting healing. You can also cut it up and get multiple dressings out of each pad by cutting it into pieces. There were no instructions included with my single pad purchase. However, I later purchased a five-pack of them, which came with detailed instructions. So, if yours doesn't come with instructions, look them up on the internet; they're crucial. br>br>If you keep each pad hydrated with saline and keep the dressing watertight, it will last for several days. I used a Telfa pad first, then plastic wrap, and finally gauze to wrap it all up. However, if you don't make it somewhat watertight, the liquid will evaporate in 12 hours and the dressing will resemble dried seaweed. br>br>Saline can be made at home by boiling water and adding a teaspoon of salt to a cup of it. Sinus rinse kits come with salt packets that can be used as well. Place the Aquacel on your wound after it has cooled and drip saline on it until it is completely filled. I used a dropper for my eyes. It will have a gel-like texture. When it's full, it has a similar appearance. The same dressing can be used for several days if it is kept relatively watertight. This dressing absorbs serous fluid while also providing a moist environment that appears to promote healing, according to the instructions. br>br>I never tried for that long. br>br> Silver has antibacterial properties, which is beneficial. I'm not sure what the theory is behind this, but once I got the hang of it, my partial thickness wound epithelialized in a matter of days. It was impressive. br>br>While it took me a while to figure out how to use these dressings effectively, they appear to have greatly aided in the healing of a split thickness injury in the end. It comes highly recommended!.
The picture shows a box of ten, but the advertisement is misleading. Way overpriced and shattered when it arrived.
If there's a chance of infection, only use the Ag. Excellent product for difficult-to-heal wounds. Make certain to get the AquaCell Ag. Silver is represented by the abbreviation Ag. Silver powder is woven into the pads of this product. Antibacterial properties of silver and gold are both excellent. The AquaCell "EXTRA" is a different kind of AquaCell. It isn't special in any way. It's no better than a thick gauze pad, and many sellers are attempting to pass it off as an Ag product. Silver prevents microbes from reproducing in the wound, which can lead to gangrene. I'm aware that it's prohibitively expensive at 140. 00 for ten pads, but you can cut them down to size and get two or even four uses out of each one. Some sellers are asking for more than twenty dollars. The plain EXTRA pads are priced at 00 each. The whole thing is a ruse.
The product is as described, but the way it was labeled was a little disappointing; of course, there is a ten on the box. I would not have ordered if I had only seen one piece, not the print above that says "each," I saw ten. What a deal, I thought.
BEWARE! The photo made it appear as if the product came in a box of ten, but you only get one of these individually wrapped dressings. FOR JUST ONE OF THESE, THE PRICE IS WAY TOO HIGH.
I'm disappointed that for the money I spent, I only got two products. This experience has taught me that when buying products, we must consider all factors. Overall, the product is excellent and performs as expected. The product's seller was efficient and dependable in getting my goods to me on time. I'm a little disappointed in myself for not paying attention to details, but the lesson learned here is valuable. I suppose I was just so enthralled by the image that I had to have it.
For nearly $20, it's a bit pricey. 00 for a single padbr>I was extremely dissatisfied. I had a severe injury to one of my legs and was bleeding profusely, and my at-home nursing care was coming to an end. Every other day, if not more, I have to change the dressing. I'm looking for a place where I can get the pads for a lower price. My injury had progressed to the point where it was affecting my bone structure.
