That is 100% something I'm not sure about. It has a very thin layer/coating of something for comfort, as well as a barrier to keep the wound from becoming infected while it heals.
First and foremost, the number of units in the box was not counted by me. I'm guessing there were at least 50 of them. I didn't measure the size this time, but my science background tells me that if the dressing is 3 inches on one side and there are 2 of them, the dressing is 3 inches on each side. There would be seven at 54 cm per inch. 62 cm on each side, for a total of 7. 62 x 7. The dressing is used to treat some stubborn wounds on my legs. I believe I paid $24 for it, which is a good deal. For a box of 50, the price is ten dollars. Each one costs two cents. I had an 8-month supply of the box I had.
I always start with a dressing pad on the skin, then add a gauge dressing pad, wrap it up tight, and secure it with a co band. Definitely superior to tape. I hope you find this information useful.

Non-stick 3x3 inch sheets fine mesh to stick to The product is impregnated with an "oily" substance that keeps it from sticking to a wound. When a wound needs to breathe, use gauze pads with it. Telfa pads aren't nearly as effective. The dressings come in sterile packaging and can easily be cut with scissors, despite the fact that they are described as breathable. They trap moisture on the wound and can cause prolonged healing time.
Our old Leonberger (big dog) had to have one of his toes amputated, and he also developed a large deep ulcerous sore on his leg just above the toe. It was unclear what caused the ulcerous sore. In any case, he was going to need a big bandage for a while, so they showed me how to change it to cut down on the number of times we had to go to the vet. The surgical center used a Telfa Pad on top of an Adaptic pad with Manuka honey, all wrapped in cast padding and WePet-approved adhesive tape. Vet- Wrap. That's also what they wanted us to do. Adaptic pads are three-by-three-inch sheets of non-absorbent material. Stick fine mesh that has been impregnated with an oily substance to keep it from sticking. On the Adaptic pad, we applied a thin layer of Manuka honey. The sores healed properly as a result of this combination.
I've tried a lot of different kinds of these coverings, some of which were stinky, expensive, and stuck like glue, but these are the best I've found. You will receive 50 individually wrapped packages that are very clear and easily cover and stay in place over a wound. I like to put them on my legs over a large abrasion and cover them with a non-abrasive dressing. Stick the pad on top, then wrap a stretchy covering around the leg to keep it in place. An open abrasion responds well to this treatment.
These things are great; they really keep stuff from sticking to your wounds. I have leg ulcers that won't heal, and my old method was to use a lot of antibiotic ointment to try to keep the dressing from sticking, but that didn't work, so I switched to these.
I ordered these because I'm currently having to do daily dressing changes with Adaptic dressing and was given a blank stare when I asked for it at the local drug store. Fortunately, Amazon has been extremely helpful in terms of my wound care requirements. The package arrived on time and was the correct product; the price for 50 adaptic squares was very reasonable.
After weeks of using "non-adaptic" dressings, the hospital burn unit recommended the Adaptic dressing. "stick" bandages that stayed on the wound. These are super light and don't stick at all!.
With one orthopedic surgeon who worked at the hospital where I worked, these were'mandatory. ' To avoid injuring the surgical incision as it healed, he required these for all of his knee and hip replacement patients. I also like them for home first aid because they help to prevent dried blood from tearing. and aid healing by keeping the incision (wound) moist.
Despite the fact that this dressing does not adhere to my wound no matter how much it oozes, it is allowing it to heal with the help of a cotton gauze pad. They used this dressing on my wound at the hospital and it was excellent and simple to use. I couldn't find them anywhere else, so I'm glad I found them here.
