There is no problem removing the mount arm from the frame. A single hairpin cotter pin is used to secure it to the mounting plate bracket. It's actually one unit. In the picture, that mounting arm on the square mount, which extends out from one end, and is held in place by a cotter key, all comes together as one.

HARDWARE DOES NOT NEED TO BE MOUNTED

This is NOT a requirement, and the product description does not specify it at all. A "Mount" promoter might order the unit with no mounting hardware - does that make the appliance a "MOUNT"? I am disappointed to have to go to the hardware store to pick up stainless steel hardware, but the quality seems excellent.

Magma is the only camera I have owned for over 10 years. It was originally on a cruiser, but when I downsized to a pontoon for the river I wanted to mount it on Although it's a good design, there are a couple of issues and fixes I would like to suggest. First, the vibration inherent in all boats would wear down the paint / finish on the square rails of your boat due to the pressure mounting. Additionally, you may feel like the bolts are a little soft (stainless) and may get burrs from the screwdriver (especially since they need to be torqued). Both of these issues are fixed by me. To make them, I sliced the bottom and side of an old koozie down the middle It is impossible for the paint to be scratched by vibration or by bolts hitting a After completing the installation, I just rounded down the bolt heads with a file and some sandpaper. From now on, I will just keep it on year-round. Even if it is an expensive experience, it is still boating and it is magma.

The first seller I ordered from was unable to ship it, and I had to order it from another two times. Work great on pontoon boats, perfect for docking. those who complain about screw replacements not being included [ Magma ], perhaps you should just include them in the package for the satisfaction of your customers.

The only thing I wish I could do is I did not receive the bolts that mount to the rails or the bolt adapters for the end of the rod to mount the grill on
