A comprehensive review of my work. The glove was purchased for my 11 year old lefty who stands 5'5" and weighs 115 pounds. His preference is for gloves made by Mizuno. To date, I have been getting him Mizuno gloves that have Power Close options, and that has made the break in period a snap. My son is very tall and strong at this point and he is pitching back and forth with his coach, and his old, lower grade Mizuno felt small on his hands and more importantly, was not reducing the sting when he threw a hard pitch. Our intention was not to purchase a $200 glove at this time, but the size of his hand and skill level Quality has been raised to a new level with this Mizuno. As my son has an impatient nature, and this glove is more rigid than any other Mizuno we have yet to try, I was concerned about the break in period. It is my pleasure to report that, after two outings, as well as three days with a ball tucked into the web under his bed, my son says his glove has broken in 80%. At this point, he is happy with the glove, which makes me happy with it as well. His ability to use it on a pitching mound and in the field makes sense to me. An 11 year old might lose an expensive glove at this point, and that is my primary concern. With its high quality, I expect this glove to last for many years, and if it does then I will be glad I purchased it. When asked about the glove, my high-skilled 11-year-old said, "I like it because the leather feels really nice, and I like it because it doesn't hurt when people throw the ball hard.
