Although not a true first baseman's mitt, it is certainly suitable for that age group. However, your 9-year-old might find 12" too big. At the age of ten and eleven, my son used this mitt.

It has a slight taper towards the wrist, which is necessary to fit a smaller hand. This is an excellent glove for a serious little ball player. br>I have a 7-year-old son. It will be ideal for him if you give him a score of 5 out of 10.

It can be difficult to find a catcher's glove that fits the hand of a young player. The majority of the gloves on the market right now are made of super soft leather and are ready to wear right out of the bag. Which is far too soft to deal with any type of fast pitching. This isn't the kind of glove you're looking for. br>br>It will take a few weeks to break in this glove, but it isn't so tough that you'll have to park a car on it to get it to fold. This is a game for serious players only. br>br>The leather is of excellent quality and appears to be in excellent condition. Our 10 and 12 year old baseball teams prefer this glove. Pitch speeds in the 60s will be no problem for it. br>br>Don't be fooled by the low price. Other gloves cost more than twice as much and were inferior. This glove comes highly recommended by me for 9-year-olds. 14-year-old girl baseball players in their golden years.
I bought this glove for my 8-year-old son. I wanted him to have a high-quality glove that he could use for several years. This glove has left a lasting impression on me. As soon as I received it, I began breaking it in by searching YouTube for "How to break in a glove with Aso. " "The glove is very easy to break in and I am confident that it will continue to improve. For smaller hands, it has excellent thumb and pinky holes. I purchased the infield model, which is fantastic. Two fingers in the pinky slot are a favorite of my son's. As a result, this glove is ideal for the job. Some of the other gloves I looked at and tried at Dicks were extremely stiff and appeared to be difficult to break in for children. Just a suggestion: take some time to break it in once you get it. I was just watching Netflix when I decided to do it. I didn't have a mallet, so I got a ball and pounded on all of the spots in the youtube video with it. To soften the leather, simply chuck a ball into the pocket a lot. Young children do not throw hard enough to break a glove on their own, so invest some time as a parent. This glove would be ideal for a player looking for a long-lasting glove. For children aged 7 and up, this glove is ideal.
I was blown away by this glove. My 7-year-old son tried out for an 8-u select baseball travel team and was selected. The glove is a good one. It's made entirely of leather and is well-made by Rawlings. The only real flaw here is the leather quality, which is also a factor in the price. Those two gloves don't even come close to being comparable. But I'm getting off track from the glove's review. Due to the low quality of the leather, forming is minimal; however, with long catch sessions and some glove oil and a glove mallet, you can have this broken in for your ballplayer in a day or two. This is a good Little League, recreational baseball glove that will last for three seasons. 4 season. A good beginner's travel ball glove that will last for at least one season. Travel ball for two seasons. I wouldn't suggest it for long-term high-intensity use. travel ball on a flat surface.
I was fortunate to find this glove for such a low price, but after seeing the quality, I would gladly pay full price for it; it is a very sturdy glove that I can see my son wearing for many years. This is a great line to get if you can't afford or don't want to spend a lot of money on the heart of the hide. The glove still looks brand new after three seasons!.
HoH 11 affects my ten-year-old son. For the past year, I've been using a quarter-infield glove. He has completely abandoned the HoH in favor of the R9 in the infield and outfield. He enjoys the feel of the glove and how well it has broken in. The nicer glove should be saved for when the kids are older. HoH will be kept until he is satisfied with the glove's quality.
The 11 was purchased by me. For my 9-year-old son, who is a lefty and plays on a 10u travel team, I purchased the 5" infield / pitcher model of this glove. The glove appears to be well-made; however, because the glove I received was stiffer than expected, I had to break it in with two rounds of the Aso hot water method and a glove mallet (along with some catch). I'm not used to breaking gloves in, but I was able to do it, so don't be concerned (you can do it!).
Our son joined a competitive baseball team, and his coach told him that the glove he'd been using in the city rec league for a couple of years wouldn't be enough. This glove was suggested by him, and it's been fantastic! It's not as nice as some of my son's teammates' $300 custom gloves, but it's still a great glove that he'll be able to use for years. He'll be able to pass this glove down to his own sons, in all seriousness. Unlike the less expensive gloves, which will fall apart after a few seasons and need to be discarded.
