It wasn't what I expected for the price. The day after my 11 year old used a wubble ball and bat for the first time, I immediately upgraded it to the next level. Despite the fact that it says it's soft, considering the sheen in the picture and the size, I was expecting it to have more of a smooth plastic feel, but it is still useful. I definitely wouldn't recommend it! It reminds me of a soft, genuine leather glove that I used to own when I was a kid. My old habit was to sleep with gloves under my bed mattress to break them in, but as promised, I no longer have to do that. The material is soft all the way around, which makes interacting with it easy for young children.
The glove I received is wonderful! There hasn't been a time since we got it that it's been put down. I'm very pleased with how well-constructed and comfortable it looks and feels. I'll be honest, the foam ball is light, but that's okay since I've used it inside and out. We've had a few near misses in my house, but nothing broke! It is a big obsession for him! This is great for him as he runs all over the house chasing this ball. I know he throws it everywhere and I don't need to worry about breaking it or injuring him. The huge team logo in the set makes my son think he is just like the pros! I am glad I purchased this set as he is getting to look like the pro with it. Despite the fact that Amazon had said it would arrive early, I received the Boston Red Sox glove a lot sooner than I expected! My first reaction was to assume it was a red Angels glove until I opened it up. There is no doubt that it appears to be a good quality and good size for a 3 year old.
