Extra large is the way to go. My son, who stands at 4'11 and weighs 80 pounds, wears a size large. These pants are nice and wash well, but they run a little tight.
My son's waiste measures 29" and he stands between 5'5" and 5'6". At 5'6", the youth XL is a perfect fit for him.

We adore these pants and have purchased them in every size ranging from small to XXL. We will be disappointed when they are no longer available. I have a skinny kid with no body fat, and these fit him perfectly, unlike other brands where the waist is huge if the pants are long enough. The padding and reinforced knees are also great features. The padding is missing from the Mens' sizes, which is a disappointment. Perhaps they aren't as prone to slipping? In any case, if you have a beanpole kid, these are fantastic!.
We looked all over for long pants. This pair of baseball pants is incredible. My tall, slim son has looked everywhere for pants that are long enough for him. This is fantastic! My son stands 4'7" tall and weighs around 65 pounds. I weigh 68 pounds. We bought mediums, which are perfect, and he was overjoyed that he didn't have to wear a belt to keep them in place! (Yes, he will be wearing a belt, but only because it is required. )br>Excellently constructed, with reinforced sliding knees. I've already purchased a second pair of shoes.
These pants are perfect for my son, and the fabric is fantastic! It's thicker, which makes it easier to slide. It has additional sewn-in padding around the buttocks and mid-thigh area, which is fantastic. The length was even too long for my tall and slender son, but he didn't have to hem it because he wore his cleats. The waist is a little tight. My son was 4'10" and 75 pounds when I bought these pants, and after one wash, he couldn't wear them in the waist; we liked them so much, we ordered the L. He could fit into the large, but the waist was not significantly larger. I looked around and couldn't find anything that could be used against them. My son wears a regular jean, not a slim or super slim, but if your child is tall and wears a slim or super slim, These pants should be purchased. He'll be grateful!.
Mizuno is one of my favorite brands for my ball player. The quality is far superior to that of other well-known brands (more true to size, thicker material (not see-through), and so on). through), additional seat lining, and reinforced knees The only drawback, which is typical of my son, is that they could be a little more relaxed in the hips and thighs. Since he's not quite ready for an Adult small yet, Mizuno also offers larger youth sizes (the length on adult sizing is WAY longer than even the YXXL). I decided to just spray them with stain remover and throw them in on my "Whitest Whites" cycle, despite the fact that I usually scrub white pants until my hands are raw. My son was astounded by how spotless they were. Baseball pants of excellent quality that will easily last until they are outgrown.
The pants are 100% worth the money in my opinion. We've had over a dozen pairs, and they've always held up to baseball's rigors. It's simple to clean, but don't put it in the dryer because any leftover clay stains will be set. They're of such high quality that they'll last for years (sew the bottoms to allow them to stretch out over time). My child, who is 5'4" and weighs 100 pounds, wears the Youth XL.
I usually get my athletic pants from our neighborhood sporting goods store, but Amazon had a good deal with same-day shipping. The Amazon youth small pants are a few inches longer than the ones I purchased in the store. These will be bunched up at the bottom unless you have a very skinny child who is also very tall. My 11-year-old will be receiving a youth large, so we'll see if they have the same issue. Attached are photos comparing store-bought YS pants to Amazon-bought YS pants. I bought two pairs of shoes from Amazon, each in a different color, and they both have the same problem. I have a few from the sporting goods store (piped and non-piped) as well. piped) that are the shortest, so it appears that Amazon's are all the same length. Despite the fact that these are quite thick, I still gave them four stars because I adore Mizuno's material and padding.
We purchased mediums, which were extremely comfortable. The fact that the knees are padded and reinforced is appealing to me. These are far superior to the baseball pants made by Under Armour. Next season, I plan to purchase again.
My daughter is quite tall. My son is a 12 in kids and the large also fits him. I am thin (size 1 women/juniors) and the large fit perfectly. On the inside, the waistband has an elastic grip to keep it in place. The knees have two layers of protection. Over the years, we've had a total of ten pairs between both children. There will never be a rip or tear. br>Both of my children excel at sports. They are extremely harsh on their clothing. These pants outlast our cleats!.
