The WV comes nowhere close to protecting as well as I do!.
Having examined both options carefully and debated for some time, I decided on gold over Platinum tends to be lighter and less bulky, and although gold protects you more than platinum, it appears to adapt to the body better as well as being more conforming. My only regret is that I didn't get to try my friends platinum before investing in the gold. However, i guess I will have to make do since I don't You might also want to factor in whether you will need ultimate protection such as A gold ball would be appropriate if you regularly hit 80 mph plus, but Platinum is fine if you're just playing little league rec ball.
Now that my Wilson Pro has been with me for two months, it's become a wonderful tool in my arsenal. I have taken several shots throughout the chest and shoulders and have not had any complaints. I recommend this product.
A chest protector that is the best available.
This chest protector is awesome.
As it turns out, this West Vest Gold has been a blessing in disguise because I have been hit a lot in the shoulder and chest with a lot I didn't feel too For the rib pads to remain in place, there needs to be a strap. For all umpires, this is a must. The team at CAT Sports definitely went above and beyond to make sure I received my vest in time.
As described, this product was received Despite this, the lower strap came undone from the padding, so I had to stitch it back on again. Because I have a sewing machine and the knowledge of how to use it, I was able to do it.
The umpire chest protector is worn by hundreds of MLB, MiLB, NCAA, College High School, and Little League umpires at various levels. You should put your money into your chest protector if you are a new umpire. There is no "best choice", just as there is no best choice for many equipment . That gear and only that gear would be worn by all of us if there was. It is important to make sure you make the right choice It is important to protect yourself first and foremost. In addition to comfort, affordability is also a major factor. The Wilson West Vest Gold needs to be kept in mind for two things. would be most suitable for Little League ball or higher, up to and including Major League Baseball. The likelihood of getting hit more frequently occurs when you are calling games with young players or kids who do not play the catcher position well. My recommendation would be to go with a chest protector which offers additional rib and gut protection in such cases. 1) Wilson has developed A replacement harness for this machine retails for about $20 (stock #WTA6796BL). Wilson chest protectors shipping in recent years are already equipped with this harness. It is highly recommended that you replace your Wilson chest protector (especially a West Vest Gold) immediately if it does not have this harness attached. It was difficult to find a harness that fit comfortably with my West Vest Gold, but after replacing the stock harness with this one, the fit and comfort were greatly improved! In the case of full retail, you will most likely pay close to $200 for the necessary harness to get the most out of this chest protector. Caveat emptor is the order of the day when shopping!.
