Despite being 5'9" and wearing size small (10 3/4"), I do not have a wide hips. Despite its short length, it is as bulky as the larger ones, but I love it because it is less bulky. If you are tall, it might be difficult to decide whether to raise the sheet to protect your throat area, or protect your ribs. When it comes to the 12" model, I'd go with it.
The harness is included in the package, and, though not perfect, it functions well. It is strongly recommended that it be replaced with The All Star CPU 4000 harness, also known as Delta Flex. There is an anchor designed as a triangular, stretchy anchor for the shoulder and torso harnesses, and it's more comfortable and functional than the Wilson round disc. Whatever the case, I can without hesitation say that this is the best protector I've ever purchased. Even touching my sternum with 90+ was no problem
It is the distance from just above the "W" pad/insignia that covers the backbones at the base of the throat - just above the "W" pad. From the top of the shell to just below the rib cage at the bottom. You should be able to get coverage at 6'1" although you do look a little short.

Yes, in a nutshell! Despite the fact that this size small was unavailable from my other usual sources, I decided to buy it from Amazon, and it arrived very quickly. The price on Amazon was fifty dollars less than that of the Wilson website. The original one I've used for over a decade is needing to be replaced. I was recently hit hard by some bullets which convinced me it's time. You will see that the costs of the service are relatively reasonable if you are a member of Here is my take on this level protector if you are unfamiliar with it. I found this one to have the lowest profile of those I have tried, allowing you to easily get a shirt or jacket on or off while still being able to protect yourself. Others, such as the All-in-One, have also been tried by me My favorite three are the 'Star' (it chokes me), Honigs ProElite (it doesn't offer enough protection), and Wilson Gold (it's This is a bit tricky in terms of sizing. The sizing for this is a little bit wider, because it's designed for a more stocky build In a pinch it is too short, meaning I must either raise it to protect my throat, or lower it to protect my lower ribs fully. The latter option has proven to be safer for me, and though I have taken some nasty shots there, my bottom rib remains largely exposed. I have taken shots at my sternum and shoulders at speeds exceeding 90 mph while wearing this, and I haven't had a single problem. Protectors such as these are the ideal choice for all levels of play, from local youth leagues to the pro leagues. I highly recommend this book!.
My lower belly attachment is a champ pro attachment, and I drilled 3 small holes in it, attached it to the zip ties, cut the excess off, and I was done! I now have coverage for my lower stomach.
In my opinion, the area covered by the tent should be lowered to cover the abdomen area more efficiently!.
As far as chest protectors go, Wilson is my number one choice. A phenominal job is done by them. The thick material can get a little warm, but it's a minor flaw compared to the standard protection it gives. It has never presented any problems to me.
My chest protector fits really well and I took a couple shots off the shoulders and did not even notice.
I am very satisfied with it. As well as being buckled in the front, you can loosen it by pulling it down, without taking it off or letting it hang around your shoulders all day.
It is my experience to have worn many chest protectors as an umpire. The chest protector I have selected is of the highest quality, and I am looking forward to its level of safety and protection. My region of the US is the North Central region, which is where I umpire college baseball. A lot of the weather can be unpredictable - there can be a low of 30 degrees in the spring, and a high of 100 degree weather There are several features on this tool that make it safer and more functional for umpires During a game, he was being.
Is very well suited to the user As for my height and weight, I'm 6'2'' 195 pounds and ordered the 10 inch.
My measurements are 508/180. The fit is perfect. To protect my shoulders, I was searching for shoulder armor. There's nothing better than this.
