It is rare that the Vukgrip is left behind on the handle after it has been removed.
I guess it's extra long since it's for a bat grip. By the way, my daughter loves the grips on the bat. I wrapped her 34 inch bat with it and it worked just fine.
It's possible for you to have a thicker grip if you so desire. You're getting a standard tape, with a grip that can't be beat! My favorite thing about this wrap is its color.

There are a lot of grips out there that I've tried. I have used a variety of products over the years, such as Lizardskinz, Vulcan, Easton, hockey tape, etc. Vulcan and lizardskin were great when I needed a thicker grip in an environment with little moisture. My favorite Vuks became the footwear of choice when I started playing in areas that rained a lot and which got foggy and humid. With these grips you get a thin grip without the sponginess some other brands have. I like their thin grip and excellent grip. In fact, I've even used them over other brands and they resulted in good results. It is even possible to reuse them if you peel them carefully back off. The only time I managed to do that successfully was once. For my personal use, I have switched to these grips on all my bats. Regardless of whether they are wet or dry, they perform well. This grip will allow you to grip your bat with minimal fear of losing it, so for those who like thin grips this is the grip.
Whenever they make a curve from the handle end of a handle, they want it to wrinkle. When you pull on and off the edges of the paper roll and it sticks to itself, making it useless. I will not buy it again. I now understand why more people do not use it. It had been stated that they were difficult to install, so I thought it couldn't be that bad. You can trust me on that! The installation process is a nightmare we've wrapped bats with every major brand and haven't had any issues, but these are by far the most difficult to install. Having used all the tack sprays, I can confirm that they work. In terms of gripping tapes and batting gloves, both of these are the best. In slow pitch I play at a high level, so I go through a lot of bats, and that's why I order a Vuk grip as soon as I get a new bat. You can wrap a bat and it will fit perfectly. My daughter loves it on her softball bats, and many other players compliment it, and want to know where they can get it.
