Questions & Answers

I've seen demonstrations of prone swimming. What about the backswing? Is there any torso or leg strap friction?

The belt is around my waist, and the strap goes up and doesn't touch my legs, so I've used it for front crawl, back crawl, and breaststroke with no problems. It works best for me if the end of the rope is above the water line. Mine is in the vicinity of a nearby tree, and it is most likely 2-years-old. I had to connect it to another strap in order for it to reach 3 feet off the ground.

What is the bungee cord's diameter?

I'm 6 feet tall. It can stretch to about ten feet, but maintaining that level of tension would require a very strong swimmer. To give it a little more length, I added a fabric tie down strap.

It looks fantastic. I have a small pool that is 27x17 (feet) in size. Is this a feasible option? Is it possible to make a cord adjustment?

Yes and no; the cord cannot be adjusted because it is an elastic band; however, you can wrap the band around your mounting point once or twice to shorten it. My pool is a 12x24, and we have competitions to see who can get the farthest out of it. I'm not going to be able to reach the other side of the 24' even if I swim as hard as I can at full length. By doubling the elastic, you could stretch it across the pool's 17' side.

Will this work in a 15x7 swim spa that has the cord doubled up as well?

It would work as long as you had something to attach to. All you'd have to do is adjust the length of the cord to keep you in the middle of the swim spa, which should be relatively simple.

It works, but not in the same way as regular swimming
4/5

This is the eighth time I've used it, so I'm familiar with how it works. It is possible to use this item. This equipment, including the belt and bungee cord, is functional and appears to be of good quality; the belt adjusts easily and is reasonably comfortable with no pinching. The buckle appears to be in perfect working order. It's true, as other reviewers have stated, that if you tie it off at any distance from the pool's edge, you'll need to attach a longer cord; however, I did this once and it seemed to work fine. As a result, my four-star rating is based primarily on the item's usability. Those who have never swum in place, on the other hand, may find it difficult. I'm guessing that this item, or something similar, is on the minds of the majority of people. It's not the same as swimming on a regular basis. I've noticed three key differences. br>br>1) The most significant distinction is that it is HARDER. Swimming laps involves gliding across the water's surface. You're working against the bungee cord, which is pulling you back all the time. So you're putting in more effort than someone who just swims for fun. If you're used to swimming laps, this will be a new experience for you. It's not surprising that you can't go as far as you used to. I've had to change my schedule, but I'm getting used to it now. 2) As someone else has mentioned, the cord has a tendency to pull your legs and feet underwater. You may find yourself using your legs and feet to try to stay afloat or maintain your floating posture on top of the water rather than swimming. More work is required once again. You can sometimes find a few seconds of balance to kick your feet as if you were swimming, but I can't do it for very long. I find myself raising my lower body to the surface of the water with my legs. Someone else suggested that tying the stationary end up high would help with this problem. I tried it two feet higher than usual, which is about one foot above the water, but the extra two feet didn't seem to make much of a difference. However, it may be more beneficial if it is raised to a height of five to six feet. When you're trying it out, keep this in mind. br>br>3) Finally, while swimming normally, the bubbles you exhale flow past you and past your goggles or mask. The bubbles come right up to your face when you're swimming in place. Although this distinction is not as significant as the previous two, it can be irritating or at the very least distracting. Also, my goggles are fogging up more frequently, and I'm wondering if the bubbles are to blame (?). )br>br>In conclusion, this item appears to be well constructed and useful. You'll be able to swim while stationary. Swimming in place, on the other hand, is not the same as regular swimming and is actually more difficult. I imagine that swimming against a current generated by one of the more expensive swimming machines would be a little more difficult because you are swimming against the current. Although you wouldn't want anything to pull your legs down, the significant cost difference appears to make this belt an acceptable substitute.

I tuck it into the slimmer of my in-laws' in-laws' in-laws' in-law a pool beneath the surface It works great for me despite the fact that I am not particularly thin. The belt is a good fit.

The solution to Covid's problem!   For the next six months, Covid has suspended all swim practices and meets
5/5

My daughter is in desperate need of a swim lesson. This is fantastic. It's a simple product, but it gets the job done. To anchor to a tree, I had to add some vinyl rope, but that was no problem. br>Have a good time, little one!.

I'm not sure why I didn't notice this before now
5/5

I was so disappointed that I hadn't discovered this sooner that I bought one of those expensive exercise bikes that you still have to pay monthly for classes online, but it quickly turned into an expensive coat hanger. This was discovered during a random Amazon shopping spree at 2 a. m. I gave it a try because of the low price and was not expecting to fall in love with it. I've been swimming every day for a few weeks and have already lost a few pounds. It's incredibly simple to use and easily supports my 215 pound weight.

Work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work This device is a pain to use because it forces you to swim as fast as you can while going nowhere! It's like a treadmill for your pool, and it takes a little getting used to, but it transforms your backyard pool into a never-ending workout
4/5

a puddle of pain in one's lap br>I've found that getting the tether as high as possible above your head is the best way to avoid becoming entangled and drowning. On the diving board, I use a quick release woodworking clamp and a few pieces of wood to accomplish this, then loop the tether over the top of the clamp as high as possible. It prevents you from kicking the rope, which is a good thing.

In a small space, this is ideal, but not for your shape
4/5

This can pull your torso down and create an unbalanced form depending on the height of where you anchor it. I ditched the harness in favor of a surfboard leash, looping the cord around my ankle. That was much more effective for me, but it is limited in terms of strokes other than freestyle and backstroke. However, this is extremely useful for working out in a small pool. However, the length of the cord and the direction in which it pulls your body can change the way you swim. If you're training for something, loop it around your ankle so your legs don't drop and your neck doesn't get strained. This isn't a replacement for a lap pool, but it's great for traveling and small spaces.

Perfect
5/5

It performs far better than I had anticipated. It's also quite cozy. I'm a size 2X in US sizes, and it fits perfectly. Actually, it's a little sloppy. I can make it smaller, but it's nice and cozy.

I am pleased with my purchase
5/5

I bought one for my above-ground pool the other day. It performs as expected, and there are no issues. Although it was inexpensive to purchase, it does not appear to be so when worn. I gave it five stars because it fulfilled all of my expectations.
