As if it were a balloon! Push the end out by opening it up and pressing it.
The instructions state that you should insert the plastic insertion side of the belt buckle into the plastic inflation valve in the center and squeeze the buoy to release the air. Deflating only takes a minute. It's very simple.
Yes, I believe so - I remember the waist strap having a lot of capacity, but I'm not 100% sure.
I don't think it's a pfd because there's no tag on it. It's great for getting out to that dock a couple of miles away if you get tired or cramped.

This is a great solution if you live on a lake with grandkids who believe they will "never" need a life jacket. My grandson wanted to swim across the lake, but only a short distance, so we decided he needed a life raft. That was a no-no with him, so we came up with this solution, and after using it, he's convinced of its utility. We'd seen them used by others, and for the price, they're fantastic!.
I like how the bright color stands out when he's swimming in an area where there are boats. He enjoys the fact that he can store small items in it while keeping them relatively dry.
Anyone who wants to free swim in open water will find this to be an excellent purchase. I've even used it to keep my car keys while paddle boarding or when my family and I are out on our giant floaty island. By simply attaching it to the floating island or board, you can keep your D, etc. safe and dry.
Great safety bubble at a great price. There was no storage, but I wanted visibility and floatation above all else. During a recent Caribbean vacation, I was able to swim and snorkel in open water near some resorts. The number of boats on the water was quite high. I was confident enough in this that I could concentrate on the bottom and not panic every time I heard a boat. Shorter straps are more comfortable, especially when used with fins. I'm not a triathlete, so I can't comment on how it performs or how it compares to others in terms of drag.
It's a good thing I did! I've used the swim buoy a few times in Lake Huron for training swims and have never had a leak (I filled the bag with napkins for my first couple swims (2,000 yards, then 1,500 yards) and they were dry when I finished). br>br>The buoy was extremely visible (which is crucial in lakes where motor sports are popular!). ), kept its contents dry, and was certainly buoyant enough in case I needed to take a break and grab something. All- All in all, a fantastic product that I am extremely pleased with.
This item is fantastic. I like how I can put my towel and other items in it and it stays dry, keeping me afloat.
br>The storage compartment spans the entire length and width of the buoy: The closure is leakproof and large enough for a small towel or t-shirt. br>A one-way valve allows you to inflate the buoy by mouth: There's no reason to wear a hat. Instead, you deflate by inserting what appears to be a tethered cap. It's a complete no-brainer. br>The waste strap can be adjusted to fit a waist up to 44 inches, effectively alerting boats and jet skiers to your presence. It's also a lot easier to find your lost snorkel buddy in the choppy water. If you need it, it even has some flotation. We could have used these years ago if only we had known about them.
I used it for an open water relay and found it to be far less difficult to swim with than I had anticipated. It's so close to you that you don't even realize it's attached to you. The ability to store items is extremely useful.
