I need to hold on. I can get some resistance from these, but not nearly as much as I can from as if wet socks are beneath my feet. It's simple to put on and take off and to wash.

The size is too small for me. There is no size chart determining what size is small, medium, and large. Measuring the hand from the middle finger to the base of the palm is implied, but it doesn't specify what size is from the middle finger to the base of the palm. All three sizes I ordered were too small for me, my friend needed the large, and I am returning the medium.
