My hands are quite small. I don't mind if they're too big or stiff, as some others have complained about. They're used to keep my freshwater aquarium clean. Clean the glass and place the plants and rock in the appropriate places. These are long enough to reach my shoulder. Excellent coverage and protection. These were only used the day before yesterday. I left them on for about 30 minutes while doing tank maintenance. There is no possibility of a leak. My hands, on the other hand, were completely soaked in sweat. which, I suppose, is to be expected. These gloves are fantastic. I should've purchased these a long time ago. In the long run, it would have saved me money. however, it will continue to exist.
Used for freshwater aquarium maintenance, scaping, and other purposes. br>br>Just recently used them while adding new plants, and both times experienced a significant spike in nitrates, resulting in the loss of a few fish. After the first spike, I did water changes and cleaned my canister filter, then waited about 24 hours before feeding to try to reduce the high levels. After two days of normal levels, I added a few more plants, using the gloves to do so, and another huge spike occurred. br>br>I can't say for sure it was the gloves, but they are the only variable I can't account for. br>br>Apart from that, they're great gloves, but I'd use them with caution. Or, at the very least, be ready to deal with changes in water parameters.
These were far too big for my small hands. My fingers didn't even come close to reaching the glove's cuff. Because the gloves are so thin and round, you can only pick up large coral or live rocks with them. They aren't suitable for picking up small or soft coral. They don't quite fit "like a glove," to put it that way. When my boyfriend fills up the generator with gas, he'll put them to use. So they can be useful, but not in the way I needed them or for the purposes for which they were advertised.
I bought these to clean my saltwater tank because I'm allergic to salt and get blisters on my hands when I clean it. I'm a small-handed woman, and the gloves were too big for me. They're extremely durable and can withstand rock abrasion. They also appear to be very effective at keeping water out. Because they don't fit me, I switched to disposable livestock rectal exam gloves (which I get from my horse's veterinarian or can easily be found online). I can't even hold a rock in my hands, let alone do anything that requires precision.
My skimmer started overflowing the second I put my hand in the tank while wearing gloves, which I'm sure means a bunch of chemicals just entered my TANK! I'll scrub them down and try again, but if the skimmer overflows again, I'll have to return them.
I'm constantly reaching my arms into the tank, sometimes up to my armpit, because the sides are 30" tall. These have been fantastic for not only keeping my arms in good shape, but also for preventing my arms from becoming too fatigued. not only to keep your clothes dry, but also to keep any oils from getting into your clothes. Taking lotions out of the aquarium is a good idea. Because they're a little thick, I can't wear them all of the time, depending on how delicate the task is. I strongly suggest it for reefers!.
After forty years of keeping fish, there are only a few companies I trust and rely on for products designed with the hobbyist in mind, and that truly, at heart, continue to manufacture products that serve the best interests of both hobbyists and marine life alike - One of them is the coralife. br>br>What's great about these gloves is that they allow you to reduce contamination in your tanks, which is especially important when aquascaping. They also keep your hands and arms dry, which is especially important if you're working in salt water because it prevents "salt burn" from prolonged contact with salt water. br>br>Excellent for working with delicate marine life, as well as if you have any "nippy" fish or other creatures. These gloves are great for preventing bites and stings from clown fish and other similar creatures. In addition to large community tanks, I keep a number of single specimen aquariums. br>br>Being the lunatic that he is, one of my Huge Red Devil Cichlids has the ability to bite. These gloves, on the other hand, provide much-needed protection and allow me to work in his tank without the stress of having to remove him or worry about his next well-planned attack. Benefits: br>br> br>br>* Keeps Your Hands and Arms Drybr>br>* Durable And Water Tightbr>br>* Textured Rubber Gloves Provide A Good Secure Gripbr>br>* Ample 28 Inch Lengthbr>br>* Elastic Tops Keep The Sleeves From Falling Downbr>br>* Great For Handling Sharp Corals And Rocksbr>br>* Prevents Sting br>br>Aside from that, these gloves are true time savers, well-made, and sure to please any hobbyist.
