When I wear these webbed gloves, I have more resistance in the water. As an alternative to neoprene water gloves, I also like the flexible, thin material. My only complaint is the lack of a sizing chart with this product. When ordering mine, I assumed it was unisex. I have small hands, so I ordered the small size hoping it would be all It is a little big through the palm and a little too long for my short fingers. These are well made shoes that are not to be disliked. These grips increase resistance, and I like the feel of them. It is easy to work with these gloves. I need to adjust my stroke since the paddle power is different, but the paddle power is the same. Even though it may not make a huge impact, it can be helpful. There is no issue with my board, because it has a wax coating (even better than using I do feel warmer when I use them. The XL is just a bit too big for me, but close enough that I like it. It has worked well for me on four of the sessions now.
