Neither. It is the cost of a PAIR of socks.
These socks are perfect for everyday wear. They serve as both "everyday" work socks and running socks for me. They are, on average, extremely long-lasting - I buy six pairs at a time and they last about a year, despite other family members poaching them on a regular basis. My favorite pair of shoes is the espadrille.
The older socks, which do have a hem, appear to be shorter in the photo, and I find them to be too tight.
Women's shoes are a size 8 for me. My husband wears a size 11 shoe and the large Thorlos socks are perfect for him.

) is rapidly deteriorating. 12) are small enough for young children to wear. Thorlos should be ashamed of himself. Amazon is not a good place to get these Thorlos. Before ordering more, I've been buying one pair at a time to see how they fit. Other pairs were of average size, but this pair (white with blue heels) is significantly smaller. I'm a woman with a 9-foot frame, and these Men's Large 8 shoes fit perfectly. The age range from 5 to 12 is extremely small. as if they were doll socks Clearly, they're using Asian sizes, or they're simply dumping undersized socks on Amazon because they know how difficult it is to return items online, because these socks are far too small for my feet. br>br>These tiny socks will shrink even more after they've been washed and dried. I already have a pair similar to these and am looking for a small child to give them to. br>br>Another issue with all Thorlos socks is that the quality of the manufacturing is deteriorating. The most recent socks I purchased with "padded heels" had virtually no padding on the heels and the entire material was thin. I'm hoping they don't wear out as quickly as their older, better-made counterparts. These socks have lost their softness and have become rough to the touch. They don't have enough elasticity and quickly lose their shape. br>br>I'm very dissatisfied with Thorlos' lack of quality control and constant reduction of high-quality materials in their socks. I'd rather pay a little more for a good sock, but at $15, it's not a bad deal. 00 a pair, this is a pricey, high-end pair of shoes. socks of excellent quality Thorlos should be ashamed for exploiting this trusting customer once more.
Since the mid to late 1980s, I've been wearing Thorlo thick running socks. Because I'm a heavier runner (190 pounds), this sock has been the ONLY sock I've ever chosen. I have a few pairs that are a few years old and still have good cushioning from toe to heel, as well as a very comfortable tube or upper portion of the sock. I should also mention that the socks are washed inside out on the gentle cycle with liquid softener on a regular basis. So, why has Thorlo now added a too-tight elastic band to the top of the sock, causing pain and pressure marks? Is this for real? "If it ain't broke, don't fix it," my father would say on a regular basis. "Do not attempt to repair it"! If this sock replaces the socks I've loved for years, it's a win-win situation. Now is the time to look for a new sock.
These socks appear to be in good condition. They're well-made, but they don't last long. Despite the fact that the toes and heels appear to be reinforced and slightly thicker, the area around the ball of the foot thins out quickly. In the last year, I've purchased ten pairs of these socks through Amazon's Subscribe 'n Save program, and one by one, they've begun to unravel. By the fourth month, you should be bare at the ball of your foot. I'm finished with them because the price has just gone up $4 per pair. It was not worth the money!.
The main issue I have with these socks is that the top of the sock frays and loses its stretchiness over time, causing the sock to slump down on one's ankles. I've included a photo of a frayed sock that I'm about to discard. Over time, the fraying becomes much worse, and I eventually stopped buying these socks. I tried at least a half-dozen different brands of socks, but none of them compared to a new Thorlo running crew sock. So I recently purchased two new pairs of Thorlos to see if they were any better than the ones I had previously. At the top of the new sock, there is a visible reinforcement. The reinforcement can be seen in the photo attached. I'll give these socks 5 stars if they hold up well and I'll buy a lot more of them if they do!.
I used to think that my Thorlos padded crew socks were the most comfortable socks I owned. When I ordered these, I assumed they'd be the same size as the ones I'd already bought. This is not the case. Some people had complained about the tops of the crew socks fraying, and mine did, too, but only after I had worn them for a long time, which was an acceptable trade-off. off for more comfort; it was the fact that the socks were not too tall and that there was no restricting elastic at the top, preventing a pressure ring around the calf, that drew me in. As a result, I was disappointed when the socks I received rose much higher on the calf than they had previously, with an offending elastic at the top that, while it may have prevented future fraying, also reduced their unparalleled comfort; I despise the pressure and confining feeling of socks with elasticized tops; These Thorlos, on the other hand, used to be an outlier. Sadly, that is no longer the case; and the return window has passed, which I was not aware of. I'm going to try a pair of the low roll tops in the hopes that, unlike the crew socks, they won't have that tight, elasticized feel at the top.
Hello, I'm writing a review for a previously fantastic product. br> I've had this brand for years and finally had to buy more after ten years. br>I'm so disappointed that they only lasted a year before the toes were worn out. br>I have two pairs, and I don't wear them every day. I walk about 3 miles a day, and I have done so for years with my previous pair. I'll recommend Thorlo, but since new socks are being created all the time, I may have to experiment with other brands. br>I'm really sorry to hear about this.
packaging that is unusual For a long time, I've worn Thorlos socks. Wearability, padding, and overall comfort are all strong points for this 3-piece set. order of their XJ-Large XJ-Large XJ-Large 13 arrived from Amazon with a surprise: one sleeved pair of socks and four loose socks were inside the well-worn container. I usually wash new socks before wearing them, but I washed these socks twice just to be safe.
