Whetstone Midnight Ninja Machete with Nylon Carrying Case

My right ring and pinky fingers eventually split while an artery of my middle finger was cut. I bought one of these a little over a year ago and two weeks into using it the blade cut straight through the sheet. More than 30 stitches and micro surgery were needed a year later, and I would have felt and moved my fingers, if even they'd been hanging on due to the LOW LOW quality of this blade and sheet. It is made of plywood and trash bags with a knife shape cut out of the end of the "full tang" handle! I promptly took apart the blade and found that it is made of plywood and trash bags. I recommend that you do not purchase this product. Although it may be easy on the pocket, it is not worth sacrificing your hand.

Originally, I had purchased this sword as a costume piece and had been planning to replace the tsuka (handle) with interchangeable handles depending on its It's full tang, sort of (checked to make sure the tang is not just welded on), BUT, the "full" tang has been hollowed out, so it's not exactly full tang. The tang is cut into two equal sized oblongs that run the length of it. The cutting of the katana is made possible by a solid piece of metal sandwiched between the cutouts, which helped ensure the "safety" of this machete-sized sword. I would not test the tsuba until the handle is replaced with something that is meant to be a lot more solid than what's currently in place (four spots are spot weld), but I would not attempt to cut the tsuba yet. There were multiple deep nicks in the middle of the mune (the spine), which were blackened over (not painted). This sword shouldn't be tested for its cut unless the handle is changed to make it more stable so that it's quasi full tang can handle testing.

As a fan of swords and shields, I've always favored short swords and shields. Since it does not come with a shield, I found it to be totally fine. With two hands, you could use the knife with one hand for fighting and the other to hold a shield. Although the handle and blade are long enough to hold with two hands for more powerful The only thing that needs to be done is to sharpen it.

Despite the fact that it feels cheap, it's not at all bad. While I am slightly disappointed with the blade's overall thickness (measured horizontally from top to bottom when held horizontally), it makes the sword lighter, so hey, whatever. In addition to the bad handle, there is a poorly designed handle. I feel very uncomfortable even when I practice swings. The situation is not much better at the moment, but again it is unlikely to improve soon. Because it's a full tang, you can easily make a different handle for it. For my personal preference, I like to use two pieces of wood on either side of the tang and wrap them with duct tape (gorilla tape here for matching colors) before supergluing each end. There is an opening for a lanyard or paracord for a wrist wrap, and that is very convenient. Furthermore, it is a very small house, so it could be considered a two-bedroom It's a bit much to ask for a handed approach. The sword didn't come sharp and its display of dullness didn't match a sword of that level. After using a sharpening stone for a few minutes, the blade was significantly sharper, but only time will tell if it will maintain its sharpness. A very pointed tip is present on the hat. You can be as cheap as you like, a tanto point is still going to give you a solid thrust. Until you get a really good edge on it, I wouldn't swing too hard because the unforgiving handle may severely harm your wrists. It's also nice to see the paint. There are some sword paints that have a dull finish, but this stuff appears to have a nice black color to it, it's a deep black, and it looks very I am surprised at the quality of the sheath. As for the toilet paper, I kinda expected it to be rolled up like an ice cream cone. In spite of this, it fits the blade well and seems to be holding together well. Moreover, there is this neat little strap that has a snap fastener attached to it that can be worn over the guard and around it to wrap the fastener on the sheath around it. Sheaths are tough to get out of, and I have to pull them decently hard before they feel a little tangled.

The guard itself is not only extremely strong, but also quite thick. The design is good and it's solid. Mine wasn't straight, but it's very nice and looks good. Went out and hacked a few bushes and it does not feel loose. How it is put on is kind of curious. While I've bought swords costing $30 that were larger and more durable than this one, I found them to be much less durable. The piece is not something you'd want to use as a display piece. Form takes a back seat to function here, even if the function isn't all that.

This is a pretty awesome deal for only Size is pretty good for a sword and a half Having a strap on the sheath is cool, but I read a lot of reviews & they all said it would fall off easily The sheath that comes with this sword is of extraordinarily poor quality, especially considering how sharp the blade is. As long as the sword is at a bad angle, I'll definitely be careful if I'm wearing it and trying to put it in it because I'm afraid I'll get cut. You should be aware of that issue if you haven't already had it. The weighting is nice, the picture looks real, and the composition is excellent The material seems fairly durable. I would have liked a better sheath for the price, but for the price alone, I would rate it as 5 stars.

For the price, I'd say this is a great product. The product was not damaged in any way. I received the item in excellent There is nothing dull about it, but it is neither the sharpest nor the best. A sharpener will definitely be able to help. A small crack appeared at the very end of the sheath, but it was In my case, the handle was thin, so I wrapped mine with paracord to give it a thicker/softer grip, as well as to add a little color to it. Upon arrival, the box that was in it had been cut in half, but there is a possibility it was damaged by the shipping company. Serious sword collectors should avoid it. However, it's a good deal for a little fun. I highly.
