Ummm. It all depends on how much you enjoy the prospect of being accused of murder. br>It's sharp enough to cause serious damage without putting your body through too much effort. It's not something I'd recommend in any kind of planned (i.e. fight (practice) It'll be somewhere between an AK47 and an AK47 with bullets in terms of self-defense.
"Are YOU prepared to fight?" is the question.
Starting on March 15, 2017, a wooden stand will be included in the package.
This sword is a fantastic deal! For a fraction of the cost - It's impossible to beat. It's the closest thing I've ever seen to a real katana. It is not for you if you are interested in the level of detail you describe here. This sword is incredible!

I was sound asleep when something jolted me awake. 5 minutes later, there was a knock on the door, and guess who it was, a delivery man. as well as with a sword. I'm surprised and excited by this, so I open it up and there it is, all wrapped up in a nice little clothe bag. It also came with a display stand, which I wish I had known about beforehand. So I take it out of the bag and begin to inspect it; it appears to be in good condition so far; however, the pegs that hold the blade in the hilt appear to be in poor condition. If you catch my drift, I'm talking about rushed. It protrudes a little more than I expected on both sides (I'll have to grind it down a little). As a result, I proceed to examine the blade in question. It appears to be well-made and quite attractive. The word CHINA is etched into the blade, which I find to be a problem. What is the significance of the blade? 2 The blade is attached to the hilt. angled. To understand, look at the picture. br>The entire sword is heavy in the hand, but that simply indicates that it is of good quality. Good quality, sturdy, I had it sharpened because it wasn't very sharp, but I prefer my swords to be razor sharp, for the price, this is a must have, mine came with the stand, very beautiful sword, 10/10 would recommend.
The blade is perfectly centered, the handle is neatly wrapped, and the blade is already sharpened. To keep it safe, it was waxed. The blade WILL be dirty due to wood fragments from the sheath. This is to be expected. There are no visible blemishes on the sheath's lacquer. The only flaws I've noticed are as follows: br>br>The only flaws I've noticed are as follows:
- On the handle, there is a wooden peg that protrudes slightly further than the handle itself. br>- Metal has scuffs. On the blade, there are a few minor scuffs.
- The word "CHINA" is machined into the blade for those who are interested. br>br>All for a lower price (and allegedly higher quality metal) than stainless steel props from novelty shops. br>br>Regardless of the material, don't expect it to be fully functional. (It's impossible to list all of the technical reasons. ) The tl; The long and short of it is that the material is only half of the story. Far more important than the metal itself is how it is machined, heated, and handled.
I think this sword was perfect for displaying since it is so good for performance since lower-cost metal swords aren't full-tang, while cheap and easily break without being used, and you can use it without a bag and stand along with a spare.
It's a metal bar fashioned into a sword-like object, not sharp, everything glued in place, tsuka ito is extremely loose and held in place with double sided masking tape, samegawa is plastic panels, Kashira wasn't tied to ito but rather cemented into place with ends tucked under, Fuchi glued, seppa are both bent, tsuba is okay but have seppa kind of cast in for some reason, bohi doesn The sword bag was the best part of this, but even that was scratchy on the inside. Hang this on your wall and tell all your weeb friends, "I HaS sWoRd ToO!".
When writing a review, you are asked to "write what you liked best. "br>The only thing I liked about it was how quickly it arrived; otherwise, it was a complete disappointment. br>It didn't come with the advertised "three-piece wooden stand," and the wooden scabbard was damaged (split down the middle). br>With that said, thank you for delivering a defective product with missing parts to me so quickly. I noticed it just in time, but it was too late to return and replace before Christmas.
Arrived ahead of schedule! The katana arrived sharp, heavily oiled, with a bag and a stand. br>Everything was fine, and it is unmistakably full tang. The only issue was the "china" insignia on the blade, but I am still happy with my purchase.
Granted, I haven't put the blade through any sort of cutting tests, and you can tell that some corners were cut during the manufacturing process, but for $40, what would you expect? I've bought stainless steel sword-like objects that cost much more than this carbon steel, full tang katana, as some others have mentioned. I'm not sure about the tempering or hardening of the blades, but I'm guessing that's where the difference between this sword and the high-end versions, as well as the more expensive fittings, lies. In the end, this is an incredible deal for what most people would want a sword for. You should be fine if you don't swing it at anything that isn't cardboard.
