It's heavy, but my 12-year-old son can handle it easily, and it's heavier than you'd expect for a Halloween prop. It has a good foundation. I hope you find this information useful.

Love it! It was delivered two days after I placed my order. br>Mine arrived perfectly straight, with a rubber o-ring on the end. tsuba (hand guard) and a ring I miss having a Saya (scabbard), but I read that a golf bag tube can be purchased to keep your clubs from clanging together. Cut the end and tape it to make a nice bokken Saya for around 50 cents at a golf store. br>This is very cool and feels nice; when I ordered it, I immediately thought I should have bought a cheaper wooden one from Trueswords or something, but once it arrived, I realized I did the right thing and made the best choice! Even though it's still a tiny point, it's nothing compared to the wooden ones. This simply feels safer, lighter, more solid, and more studied, and it looks and feels like an ultra-light Katana if such a thing existed. br>It appears that you can smack this against anything and it will not break. This is a fantastic tool to have around the house. For quality/value/sturdiness/durability, I gave this a 5-star rating. My only regret is that I didn't buy two because I was afraid of losing them. I would purchase this product again. And I have no ties to the company. I'm just stating the obvious: this thing is freaking awesome!.
A sticker on the packaging stated that if it was bent, it could be bent back into shape. When I tried to do so, the tsoba broke. I contacted the seller, and within two days, I received a replacement. The new one is less prone to bending and has already proven to be durable. Tsoba (hand guard) was included with both the broken and new ones. Overall, I'm satisfied with the level of service provided. This is the only thing I'm going to add. It's been a few weeks, and I've tried everything I can think of to straighten out the new one's bend. I even tried heating it in a tub of boiling water and then cooling it by clamping it in a straight position, but that didn't work. It returned to its original curve in less than 2 minutes after I unclamped it. If you receive one that is too bent to use, please return it as it cannot be repaired.
Excellent value for money.
Although this training sword is not as well balanced as a real katana, it is a good value for money for basic drills and paddes sparring. With a rigid blade, you must wear pads for sparring or you will injure someone, and a real crack to an unprotected head can kill someone; it is also not stab safe because the end of the blade has zero give; the guard is prone to breaking due to its weak points but should last a long time; the blade itself is prone to breaking at the transition ignite if wielded improperly. (A minor change to the construction would fix this. ) If used properly, it will last a long time with drills and sparing.
The first one I got was slightly bent to the left, but I was able to straighten it out in about 5 seconds by bending it the other way. The second, on the other hand, was 100% accurate. In the backyard, I was practicing my weapon forms, and the sword was perfectly balanced, with just enough weight to feel realistic. I even slammed it against an apple tree without causing any damage or bending to the sword. I was so pleased with the quality that I decided to purchase a second one and keep one at the studio and the other at home. Overall, I would highly recommend this product; you won't find one of comparable quality unless you're willing to pay 3 to 5 times more money, and why would you at this price? One of the instructors at my studio (a third degree black belt) even said he was amazed with the quality and price.
The guard is easily broken, especially when paired with a heavier practive blade like the hand and a half. You can, however, use it without one, and it's still a lot of fun. I should also mention how difficult it is to break the rest of the blade. It can be left outside, thrown like a javelin, smacked against rocks, and run over, and it will still work.
Even though I have large hands, this sword fits me perfectly. br>br>Great balancebr>Great weightbr>Good gripbr>br>It cuts through the air well enough, but keep in mind that it is still plastic. br>br> br>br>Highly recommended; I'm going to order another so I can have a pair.
This sword gets a 4 from me because it's very sturdy and attractive, as well as well balanced and easy to use. The only issue is that your sword may arrive bent or with parts missing. I placed an order and received it within a few days. A rubber o, a tsuba, and the katana itself were among the items included. My katana was bent, and the instructions said you could bend it back into place, but mine always returned to the bent position, no matter how hard I tried to straighten it out. So I ordered a replacement, which arrived in two days, but the second one was missing the handguard. br>While the sword is beautiful in and of itself, don't be afraid to ask for a refund or a replacement if yours arrived damaged.
